We get to meet Jason! Jason is…well he is an idiot. However, he is an endearing idiot and more so our endearing idiot. He raises an interesting question to me in terms of how much should one’s ability to comprehend the impact of their actions affect the judgment of those actions. He clearly has done bad things but there is also an innocence to him.

Yay, our introduction to Jason, and Pillboi! The flashbacks to the mortal world are always so much fun. This show is so fast paced, I'm glad you guys are picking up all the jokes. I'm loving Damo's speculation, too. Keep it up!

This show is a lot like Parks & Rec, where Michael Schur loves creating side characters that a) we remember and b) are important parts of the storylines. Great ensemble writing.

I just finished the discussion and wanted to add: it's so funny you think Tahani doesn't belong there. Like Chidi said, she can be a little condescending, but hopefully you can see that her heart is in the right place. I think the more you learn about her, the more you'll understand her motivations. I'm glad she's one of your favorite characters! Your teasing about her accent was so funny.

I both love and hate to watch people react to The Good Place. There are so many twists and turns in this show, it’s fun seeing people speculate and get caught off guard. However, there’s always soooo much I want to say, but don’t want to spoil anything.

Uses some of the same character actors also. The chef in this episode was the reporter who was reading Leslie’s emails on Parks & Rec (Kim Trelawny or something similar). Jason’s friend was also a minor character on an episode of P&R.

Yeah - I watched the 1st season of that one, liked it but haven't gone back to S2 yet. I think the female lead is from Sunny too?
