Hello. I hope you are all doing well this weekend.

I recently had comment concerning the variety of villains, or lack thereof. Perhaps I'm in a villain rut. We all have our preferences, of course.  So I want to ask you, my patrons...

What types of villains (and/or scenarios) would you like to see in future stories?

Variety is the spice of perilous super heroine life. So please comment below with your thoughts ont he matter. My goal is to provide you with the most satisfying stories on this page.

I think I prefer the villains with grudges on the secret identity first and heroic persona second.

Sci freak, tentacle, drug, mutant?

JLA

I like the super-science villains!

Loved the professional rivals to both the heroine's vigilante as well as their alter-ego villains. Vanderholms are one of my favorites or the Germaine's in Synne city. I was thinking maybe an actual political opponent like a Mayor or a Governor that uses the power of his office to go after the hero and the alter ego. I mean so many scenarios being against the system so to speak. I mean just think of it, police actually chasing the hero because the super villian just happens to run the state or city as well. Even gets elected on the promise to legalize prostitution. Then on top of it the bad guy actually has powers and has a villianous persona.

There is always that secret group or organization whose influence and reach is unknown. Also, there could always be that one villain who knew the heroine when they were friends.

I would like to see the government officials who does not approve vigilantes. So some kind of government secret services, black ops or off the record special task force like DC's Suicide Squad. The ultimate big bad is the government itself and the aformentioned task force team is the henchmen. The best example of this I can think of is the Cadmus arc in Justice League Unlimited.

Anime

Maybe a male antihero character. He could uses methods that the Heroines don't like and is not above sexually enslaving enemy super women or the Heroines if they get in his way. He could even become stronger the more he has sex with other women.

I enjoy it when the villain is a subordinate of another antagonist. Where they try to become the bbg and have a complex. Examples are Johnny and Ekong. I also like the superheroine turned bad guy trope.

I'm tempted to say a science mastermind like Lex Luther, Doctor Doom, or Mr. Sinister. Brilliant scientists, or engineers, who are also cool. Another possibility is a mind control guy who has psionic powers that allows him to mentally control a heroine. Nightwing had a bad guy called Bolt who fits the bill.

Kinda in the same vein as bad political figure, maybe it's someone with diplomatic immunity. I'm sorta imagining a Dr. Doom-like situation where he has his own country and that complicates things. Maybe there's actually a spy in their ranks. Could be a vendetta thing where she's getting revenge for a previous arrest and she changed her name or for not helping or something. Alternatively, she could be tied to another villain where perhaps she's groomed/brainwashed from a young age to become a spy. My favorite book so far was Collateral Damage with Alexander Rubashkin. Sorta mentioned above where Ms. Amazing's alter ego gets seduced and Rubashkin is trying to find out who she is and eventually realizes they're on in the same. He was also my favorite villain until his untimely demise.

I like when the villains are a sort of homage to epic story line plots in comic lore.

Kitten

ie. Terra in the Teen Titan Judas storyline of a villainess that infiltrates a good organization to tear them up from the inside out, the Angels works great for that.

Kitten

ie. Dark Phoenix storyline, of a story of a good heroine who slowly gets corrupted to be an epic story line bad guy, Lady Wrath has the potential here, though the former 'battering ram of justice' is the greater power threat. Seeing her return to maybe face off with a witch could be epic?

Kitten

The classic notion of the Hero's actions being responsible for their greatest nemesis works often too... Batman/Joker, Superman/Luthor, Spiderman/Green Goblin, Aquaman/Black Mantis, and so on. I don't think that happens in your storylines too often. Usually the bad guy is pretty much established already?

Kitten

On an unrelated note... I signed off on this render, but i don't even remember making it...

Someguy

There is a lot of good suggestions here.
