Bat-Like Man Day (Patreon)

Yesterday was apparently "Batman Day", which I am certain is a Hallmark holiday, but I was in for the evening so I drew a quick picture of some of your comic friends and posted on the socials: "just remember that a new Batman crossover can happen at ANY TIME". In reality, it can't, because I'm not spending two months drawing the same joke twice for no money, but for a minute or two allow yourself to imagine the [2027 Solver Project] x Batman comic, where the incorrigible sleuths travel to Gotham City (in New Jersey, you will recall) and deal with the Bat-Like Man's criminal milieu. Mildred spends an edifying week in Lucius Fox's lab. Lottie experiences the benefits of a Bat-like Cave. Claire... I don't know what Claire would do but I'm sure she'd have a high old time.

I finished up last night's rough drawing this morning. Apparently in 2026 Batman has returned to his old 1960s-80s colours which are, to me, visually annoying but I think they have to distinguish him from "Absolute Batman" who is a new version of the character who seems to have the ribcage of an ox, plus an axe. The kids love it but I have not read it. As I said on Bluesky last night, Absolute Batman was created because once I'd done the old Bruce Wayne Batman, there was no point anyone else even trying.
