In NZ, head students are only ever chosen from the final year students (year 13). It might be a bit odd for Nick to have Charlie as head student when he’s younger - but I also think Nick will really support Charlie through the stressful bits, & it will help him come out of his shell a bit.

The Charlie solo pics have been there since the start of vol 4! I think it’s a new configuration though, and the one of him giving Nick a kiss on the cheek is new. (I looked back and I think Nick used to have a similar one where their positions are reversed.)

I noticed that Charlie holding the papers isn't in an actual comic frame, but more so just drawn on the pages if that makes sense. It sorta changes the POV from simply what Charlie is looking at, to, what's been on his mind towering over top of him. Also the little print on the bedsheets and pillow case kinda look like hearts and seagulls at the same time in reference to their love and the beach

Correct! In their last two years of school, UK students usually narrow down which subjects they study. If they’re doing ‘A Level’ qualifications then they usually choose three or four.

More A level questions- are there teachers at every school who can teach all these varied subjects? Are there enough students at each school who can fill a whole class of Classical Civilizations? I'm an education administrator so this nerds me out.

i've never had a problem before the daily updates started (the updates before that were fine!) and other channels are uneffected too, very strange! but i opened a support case let's see what they say. what baffles me is that no one seemed to get an email notif for this either!

As precious as the second panel is with Charlie smiling over Nick, I am stuck on Charlie's expression in the first panel. His face reflects this quiet determination about him, and although he must be nervous knowing what he will have to do with the election and such, he is also reading HIS words he wrote about HIMSELF here..."hard worker...despite personal setbacks...school safer." We get this focused image of Charlie's maturation and growing self-efficacy that is so powerful and so natural. Applying for Head Boy is hard, but now he knows he can do hard things for himself, by himself! (and, oh, as sleepy Nick moves, with the adoring support of his boyfriend!). Great page!!

Not all subjects are offered at all schools. My school didn’t offer Latin at all but friends of mine were able to do it - we only had one politics teacher in my school for a-level so it was a small class limited in size however we had several geography a-level classes due to its popularity

They are fairly uncommon - Latin and Classics are mostly offered at Private schools or grammar schools in the UK.

I didn’t notice it at all until seeing this thread, and this feels ridiculously nitpicky, but I think it might be that his (pretty square) thumbnail extends to the very first end of his thumb and we don’t see skin at the end, like we do with his other fingers? If that makes sense/is at all helpful? (But I also think it looks totally fine as is lol) (On a separate note, Charlie’s curls are curling… love the sparser strands/locks(?) falling across his face, his hair is So Good.)

Honestly, it depends on the school. A lot of my friends changed schools for sixth form (years twelve and thirteen, equivalent to USA grades 11 and 12) depending on what they wanted to take for their A-Levels. (Truham is also a grammar school)
