Nick is 100% not the morning person in this relationship XDD But I totally get Charlie, stressing about something does prevent you from falling asleep/falling back asleep (just like the old comic with Nick not being able to sleep cause he has a job interview the next day. They are the keepers of each other's sleep)

I live in America and I’m from the South. Excuse my heteronormative criticism. My parents would have never let me sleep at a boyfriend’s house. But I guess it’s different when it’s two boys. They are so lucky! I’m 32 now and my parents still don’t trust me. I would probably get shunned if they ever thought I had sex before marriage.

I love so much about this page (the relatable early morning anxiety, the perfectionism, Nick’s funny glance at the paper and Charlie’s adorable glance towards Nick), but my FAVORITE part of this page is seeing how much Charlie now wants to be head boy. He went from surprise at being asked to apply, to questioning whether he should apply, to this… wanting it so much he’s concerned about whether his application is all it could be. I think he should cut it as he prepares to be head boy, then grows it out slowly. I had a colleague who was promoted to a management position. He cut his hair and shaved when he started, but as he got more comfortable in the role he grew back his mustache & beard and now his curly hair is back!

No, not a good idea to be fretting and second guessing at 6:50 am, but I fully understand. 😭 His little worried face in that third panel is so adorable.
