Only Charlie Spring can manage to look softly humble and madly proud at the same time. I love the zoomed in view of Charlie in the inset panel...his wide eyes, warmly raised eyebrows, and just enough upturn of a smile show us that humble side of Charlie...it's like he is looking directly at his year 9 self, saying, "we did it. We were ourselves, we spoke from our hearts, and listen to the cheering...they have faith in us! I have faith in us. We did it!" Then, we have the gorgeous full body pose of Charlie, chock full of pride for himself, and even more so for his school and the change that everyone wants (since they voted for the one person offering a practical plan for real growth!). The stars (my new favs!) highlight the confidence that Charlie has here, but so does his entire pose from the top down. His eyes are bright and reflecting all the hope he sees in the room, his shoulders are squared and tall (no slumping trying to hide!), his hands are calmly placed at his side (no nervous clasps or anxious twists of fingers!), and his legs are comfortable with just a slight natural bend...all giving the air of a calm yet strong leader. And Charlie is a strong leader because we can tell from every detail drawn here that he is not thinking about what HE will accomplish as Head Boy, but what THEY can all accomplish as a school, working together❤️‍🩹🥹
