Ok, maybe it helps to write down some guesses 🧐 to get a clearer mind and then tell me what you think: Nick said before, that they haven't talked much that evening, so maybe Charlie also had some difficulties to talk to him, because it's a (more or less) intense/hard topic. 😟 And as someone in the comments mentioned before, there are some anxiety spots behind Charlie. So thats not a really good sign. But maybe it's "only" a big problem for Charlie, which he all makes up in his head (like me a bit at the moment 😅🙃) and Nick can deal with it way better and can calm Charlie down a bit, like he always does. I just really hope, it doesn't end with a big fight. So we just have to wait a few hours! 😅🫠😶‍🌫️😮‍💨🫥

Could there be a softer, more affectionate moment than Charlie pulling Nick close to give him a kiss on the cheek? Not a quick peck, not a stolen “no one is looking” moment, but a tender, wholesome, utterly in love, total adoration kiss, complete with the soft cupping of Nick’s face while Nick has barely enough time to wrap his hand around Charlie’s waist. It’s similar to the intimacy of a forehead kiss, but also brings a different level of emotional intimacy because instead of feeling like a healing, protective kiss, it’s like an “I want to drink in this moment with you and all your preciousness” kind of kiss. And the image below that, to me, feels like Charlie is absorbing every single detail of Nick Nelson in real time. It’s like his heart is going to burst…and I love that Charlie is at a place where he can say, “I need to talk to you about something…” rather than feeling like he’s a bother if he brings anything up like he used to. I have so many ideas about where this could go, but for now, I’m going to sit on that sweetest kiss, and soak in that warm moment for them❤️

I don't think so... usually a light grey panel with white spots like here is conveying something positive. The anxiety/negative feelings are a darker grey background with black spots. I checked. A lot 🤣

This is one of the things I find so interesting about getting only a page a day. Typically, issues are resolved fairly quickly in the comic, but reading one page per day makes it feel so much more suspenseful. Totally different experience. For example, the buildup of Nick and Charlie being more intimate for the first time in volume 5 felt like a slower burn, but then reading the book when it came out it seemed so fast. I love getting to experience it both ways 😊❤️

I have to say, I really love the journey Nick and Charlie have came since volume one, like it's truly amazing to see how much growth they both have went and dealt with in the time frame. Because each new part has been something more serious. For example, you take all the volumes up to volume 5, and seeing how far Charlie has made it within his life with really finding his confidence boost like that really has showcased a lot
