No sweet Charlie in the crowd today :(

There MIGHT not be a page tomorrow, gang - the upcoming scene has gone through a billion iterations and I might want to take a beat to just ensure I'm happy with the plan/writing and I've got a few of the next pages roughly sketched out.

It's sinking in with me that Nick met Charlie during a really low point in his life, and he hasn't really met full-speed, flourishing Charlie until now/recently. Charlie at 100% can be just as sharp, direct and scary (in that good way) as Tori -- their bond as quasi-twins is more apparent & powerful when neither of them is in emotional retreat. No wonder Nick is having trouble processing / keeping up these days... I know I'm paraphrasing what hundreds before me have already said for ages, and I did 'know' it already, but I just haven't felt it as deeply as now, with current events unfolding as they are...

You r right, nick always wanted charlie to improve and feel more confident... but now is pretty real. And i guess he feels stuck (i feel he is, indeed). Like, nothing in his life change or improve, while charlie is growing

Nick is really struggling, and nobody seems to be there for him. His team mates seem to be assuming its just because of the drinking last night, that he'll perk up soon enough. While the one who has noticed he's pushed away. Now he's out there feeling alone and distraught. I hope he isn't going to be so distracted enough that he gets injured, because rugby has a nasty habit of splatting you if you're not paying attention.
