I had a STD video with close ups and it messed me up. I couldn’t look at a boy in the face for a good week. That was most of the sex Ed class. There was like 5 minutes on how eggs are fertilized and how the fetus is formed. And I was the only girl on my side of the class since the others skipped. So awkward

lmao no I (an American living in a conservative state) had abstinence-only sex ed, where STDs and protection weren’t discussed because you just “shouldn’t have sex in the first place”

Omg we got bonus points on the exam if we could identify which STD the teacher projected on the board. I got the highest marks on that STD test and my teacher announced it to the whole class. I’ve never been so simultaneously embarrassed and proud of a grade before.

They pulled all of the middle schools in the county together at the auditorium at the fair grouds for a massive sex ed "conference" one day. Full of horror stories and images of STDs and STIs and all that. Which is surprising in the Southern USA. (Every other class and year was tame and useless though)
