Thank you to everyone for your lovely comments on my post earlier. I truly mean it when I say that your support and encouragement on Patreon keeps me going. I always look forward to hearing your thoughts and theories about the page each day. Making a webcomic for this long has been really hard at times, but the thought of seeing what you all think about the daily page keeps me going when I feel like I want to give up.

I've made the watermark a little more obvious, and I'm so sorry to those who find it distracting.

Anyway - let's get back to talking about the story! A JANE APOLOGY! Also I have a strong need to properly draw that Tori Charlie Oliver family photo.

Alice…you rock! I have so much admiration for all that you have accomplished. You changed this 51 year old man’s life and so so so many more. I know a few bad apples can really stink things up, but please don’t ever let them bring you down. You’re so important to us and we love you!!!

I'm so grateful for everything you've given us, and I appreciate you sharing these things with us early. I would totally understand if you stopped because people can be awful. Thank you so much for everything. Also, I NEED THAT PICTURE. It would be perfect for a second coloring book <3

I really hope this scene helps people be more understanding of Jane. She's doing the best she can in a situation that is very stressful. It's impossible to not feel like you're failing a little bit when your kids have severe mental health issue that leads to the kind of problems Charlie and Tori have, and she's clearly not getting the psychological support that she needs to help her navigate these things. She just wants to protect her kids and feels like she hasn't done enough, so she's erring on the side of doing too much. We all know that can be just as damaging, but it's all she knows at the moment. I hope she and Julio also seek treatment to help them help their kids.

I'm 100% behind the new watermarks, it's such a small price to pay to help keep these on Patreon. It's always a highlight of my day and instantly brings a smile to my face when I see the email come through. I can't imagine how awful you must have felt

Jane? Is that you? The new watermarks are just fine! I’m so glad you’re continuing with the Patreon page. You have no idea how much your “one woman show”—you sitting alone drawing—means to so many people. I wish I’d had HS when I was a kid (I’m 66), maybe life would have been a bit easier. In any event, I’m loving it now.

I love how Jane evolves, how she managed to admit her fears, her mistakes. I assume Julio talked a lot to her. She is trying. And those little gestures are everything. The watermarks are just fine. Just do whatever you can do to prevent people to steal your work.
