Idk why but something about the leaves on this page look so beautiful to me, they remind me of the leaves from book 1. Idk if this was intentional or if it even means anything but they just look so perfect!

YAYYYYY IM SMILING SO HARD RN THIS IS AMAZING FOR THEM BOTH

Berni Sweeney

The original conversation between Jane and Charlie was over 50 pages ago (1388) and so much has happened since then, when in reality it has only been a few hours!! Jane has actually said almost exactly the same thing as before but she was so much calmer in her communication, and this time Charlie was listening rather than reacting! So lovely to see growth in both of them. Thanks Alice!

I read all the way through to this point in heartstopper in like 2 1/2 hours

What a wonderful turning point in their relationship!

The Wanton Dogfish

I know Jane has her faults. Who doesn't? But in a way I wish my parents had been as 'involved' in my schoolwork. They just kinda assumed I was OK so left me alone. Which was not the case sadly, I was just accustomed to hiding everything. Remember folks, your parents didn't get a handbook. They're just doing what they think is right x

Yay for healthy communication and compromising <3

Dave

A decent compromise but I hope she keeps to it. Jane is reminding me of one of my best friends whose approach to parenting is always “after your exams” but then when that time comes it’s kicking the can down the road again. But we can see growth in Jane here and I feel reassured she’ll stick to it. The delay allows her time to mentally process it as well

I remember those compromises with my mom. You nailed this so well, Alice.
