This really nicely starts to set up the scenario in Nick and Charlie where Charlie doesn't want to burden Nick with his own anxieties...knowing that it was a difficult process for Nick to decide where to go and allow himself to get excited about it. Also, their widdle faces, so sweet :)

I appreciate Nick just wanting to “recharge” with Charlie. Change can be a lot. I feel like Nick has had a lot of experience as a caregiver, peacemaker, and generally takes in the circumstances around him and gives back sunshine, acceptance, or help. Absentee dad, a deeply disappointing older brother, unconsciously repressing his own self-development when it began to contrast or diverge with his social group... But what does Nick want/need for Nick? Charlie loves Nick so much, it is hard to hear people call themselves ‘stupid’ and put themselves down. But processing those intense emotions can lead to growth. What does Nick mean when he expresses what he feels? We don’t always have to make life agreeable for the people we love.
