Close. The saddest thing I've seen is on IMBD's User Ratings page for this movie, for the Female demographic, it has a rating of 8.3 out of 10.

Seriously, fuck this movie. This is the cinematic edition of everything our then pastor told me when I was leaving my ex. Hearing you guys tear this steaming pile apart was cathartic.

My mother was molested by my grandfather and my grandmother was going to divorce my grandfather. However, before she did that she went to her Mormon Bishop, who told her to stick it out. I'm tempted to watch this to see if it was really as bad as made out - if they did just totally shrug off the violence as nothing, but am worried it was and don't know if I could take suffering through it

Just to get the message out about Xian marriage values. --------------------------------------- This is a movie where the husband abuses the wife, and she's the one at fault. Nothing is ever done about *his* actions. First, the movie review by an atheist group who tear this movie the hell apart. They say that it's the worst Xian movie they've ever reviewed, and that is saying something! I can attest to this. When I was in a Christian marriage my ex husband wanted a divorce but wouldn't tell me why, just that we were, "Poison for each other." Turns out he just wanted to marry his coworker so he could fuck her. Well. Since I had only the Bible, my in-laws and one of the guns he left behind to turn to, I was going to kill myself to prevent my ex from sinning in the future, based on what the Bible says. Really glad I didn't do that. However, I regret so badly the years I wasted believing in such reprehensible bullshit that is Christian morality. I feel so stupid for believing in any of it; for being lied to.

Thank you so much for doing this film. My mother was "unequally yoked" to my "unsaved" father and it terrified me that he wouldn't go to heaven. And my mom would threaten divorce, but never went through with it. Plot twist, he was a great person who managed to never abused my mother.
