Because the only way to make JCVD not look coked up at this point in his career was to stick him next to Dennis Rodman.

As soon as you said "cyber monks" I realized "Oh my god, it's this movie. With the tiger and the Coke machine". BTW Eli, don't worry too much about Mickey Rourke's face, I'm pretty sure most of it was due to plastic surgery.

The Gray Hunter

The Colony....really? I haven’t watched this film. Were there lovely folks with parti-colored capes and umbrellas riding penny-farthing bikes around Patrick McGoohan there?

Hazel

So the optimist in me says that this was full of references to spy stuff. "Stavros" taken from Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the Colony a reference to British cult classic tv series The Prisoner. The pessimist says this was just leftover cocaine JCVD found in his trailer

Yes anti-personnel mines launch for effectiveness against units. However, there are mines meant to denotate with pressure for vehicles like APVs and Tanks (mainly to destroy tred and slow progress)

Belgian isn't a language. That's why they couldn't have someone speaking it. Although Flemish and French would have made more sense than Italian and English.

Patrick Carr

Oh, if only JCVD and Gary Busey would costar in an action movie.

Mark Siefert

Wait, didn’t they already use the switchblade knife shoe in “From Russia With Love?”

Patrick Carr

Yes, but that was a shoe, not a knife held between toes.

Ryan Parker

No, no Eli..... I like Ricky Mourke far better. Take that ball and run with it.

Matt

Rodman was also in the second season of mostly forgotten ‘90s action TV show Soldier of Fortune, whiiiiiiich….

These reviews always make me feel existential. Noah's "...doing fuck-stuff that makes Midwesterners uncomfortable." for instance made me realize that as a Midwesterner I DO feel uncomfortable about fuck-stuff. I have been out of the midwest for 29 years now, but until that statement I had never felt a kinship with anywhere, especially my home region. I feel it has added a new perspective to my life. No joke.
