I'm just going to say that I think The Goonies is overrated. I didn't grow up with it, and I think a lot of people who love it are just giving it too much nostalgia credit. The plot is kind of a mess and I think the most of the middle part is pretty boring. It didn't seem to age that well and it's not the kind of film from that era like Stand By Me that is well-written and emotionally engaging enough for adult enjoyment without the nostalgic connection to it.

I was one of those kids being scared away from healthcare only a few years ago, and sometimes it's still difficult to be skeptical in the face of these very frightening lies. So, I listened to this episode yesterday and was filled with rage. Then I leave for work this morning and the church that is pretty much in my neighborhood has a new sign up that says "Planned Parenthood separates parents from their children." I have never wanted to commit acts of anti-Christian warfare more in my life. You know - show up at their Christmas service and wish everyone "happy holidays." Wear my I'm Atheist and I vote t-shirt to the next youth group meeting. Offer to teach a bible study and read nothing but the parts about talking donkeys, Elisha and the bears, and pricing scales for purchasing your rape victim. Make a donation to Planned Parenthood in their name. That kind of thing. Fuck those assholes and fuuuuuck this movie.

The number they gave seems strange given they're the ones who make a habit of harassing the planned parenthood workers. At most they just take you off their hit list, but I'd guess they're more interested in obtaining more bullshit testimony like what this movie is based off of.

I highly recommend listening to George Carlin’s stand up on the subject. And also donate if you can, because fuck those people. I personally like to sneak attack by asking them how often they donate blood. You can save up to three lives in less than in hour with a procedure orders of magnitude less dangerous than child birth.

I loved listening to your podcast (as always) but hadn’t been paying attention to the news or heard about Unplanned, so I was initially surprised at the fervor with which you hated this movie. That was before I Googled Abby Johnson. What scares me is the rare number of articles, podcasts, or posts telling the truth, and the ocean of lies, bullshit, and interviews where so called “moral” evangelicals are having giant jizz parties creaming themselves over the windfall that this lying c*nt b*tch has dropped in their laps when she figured out how much she could scam by selling her soul to those f*cking idiots. “Gender Traitor” is close to what she is, but somehow isn’t quite strong enough. If you do have a stretch goal of funding a sequel (my idea for a title would be “Abby Johnson is A Giant Lying C*ntface B*tch” I will sell a kidney to help fund it.
