Asexual Asshole

"Simon Sez" (Dennis Rodman & Dane Cook). Additionally, "Miami Vice" (Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, & Gong Li), "Dragnet" (Dan Aykroyd, Tom Hanks, & Christopher Plummer), and finally "I Come in Peace" (Dolph Lundgren, Brian Benben, & Betsy Brantley).

Karl Schwingel

Just watched Miami Vice, and it was really bad. Maybe the old TV show was also really bad, and I didn't know as I never watched it. I definitely thought it was shot like an old TV show, before they knew how steady cams worked.

Hypatia

Beverly Hills Cop III or Cop Out are both pretty terrible.

Jenney Dowd

What about Running Scared with Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines

A.J.

Kuffs? I put it in the form of a question because I remember liking it as a kid, but it's probably terrible.

Liz Burns

Steven Segal's Lawman. I know, I know, it's not a film, but it is truly the most awful of any cop-based programming, and it is hilarious.

Suzanne August

Bulletproof with Adam Sandler. Horrible.

Dexter

Theodore Rex with Whoopi Goldburg

Jason King

Just saying, I bet the cops in cop rock are buddies....

Don Toovey

Loaded weapon the national lampoon version of lethal weapon starring Samual “mother fucking “Jackson and Emilio “I’m the better brother to charlie sheen”estavez

B. King

Righteous Kill. 2008, DeNiro, Pacino, Donnie Walhberg, 50 Cent...

Spinoza's Godzilla

I second doing another episode of Cop Rock. Patreon cross promotion!

You can just think of me as That One Guy

If cop/lawyer team-ups count: Fair Game, 1995. The smouldering sex appeal of William Baldwin (dry heave) paired with the acting genius of Cindy Crawford (dull surprise). They have all the explosive chemistry of adding water to... More water.

Cop Rock

TBoneSF

The Happytime Murders. Melissa McCarthy is teamed with a puppet in a world where puppets are a sentient underclass (so lots of puppet prostitutes and homeless people). Brian Henson saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit and said "what would that be like X-Rated with the Muppets?".

The Younglings Had It Coming

Lethal Weapon. It's the godfather of buddy cop movies, it's got Mel Gibson, it's got Gary Busey, and above all else, it *stinks*.

Muthafuckin' Summerblaze

I haven't watched the movie, because I'm sure it's going to be a piece of shit, but I agree. Also, if like to nominate Eli's Marky Mark impression to guest host in his stead.

El Oso Café

Holmes and Watson [drops mic on stage]

Sean Harmon

Stop or my Mom will Shoot, Cop and a 1/2, or Top Dog. :)

Tom Gould

Loose cannons! Dan Aykroyd has a split personality and Gene Hackman along for the ride. Need I say more? This one's a gem!

Ilan Woll

I am one of the few who really liked it, but yeah, deserving

TBoneSF

I actually kind of like the movie as well and really admire how ballsy Brian Henson was to do something so against what everyone expects from the "heir to the Henson legacy". But then again, I will also defend the Star Wars prequels (especially post-JJ Abrams) so I realize I see beauty and value where most will say "WTF?".

Leslie Marchant

"Exit to Eden". Rosie O'Donnell, Dan Akroyd, S&M on an island.

Dreamcrusher

Cop Out - Stars Bruce Willis and Tracey Morgan and directed by Kevin Smith. This movie is so bad.

Dreamcrusher

Only if Cecil can join the record. The girlfriend in the movie sounds exactly like his impression.

Liam Smith

Point break which is amazing but also cops just being bad at their jobs. And Gary Busey!

Uninspired

Hot Fuzz? Or A Canadian buddy cop movie called: Bon cop, bad cop

Diana

Let's Be Cops

Mama Llaga

Split Second (1992) In a flooded future London, Detective Harley Stone (Rutger Hauer) hunts a serial killer who murdered his partner, and has haunted him ever since. Assigned a new, by-the-book rookie partner to keep Stone reigned in, he soon discovers their quarry might not be human.

Dustin Hanson

Cop & a Half. It was terrible in 93’ and I’m sure it hasn’t aged well.

brokenspoke

Yes! Whoopi Goldberg, in a role she was sued into playing, is a loose-cannon tough-as-nails future cop. Assigned a new partner on a public relations gig to an underrepresented social group---anthropomorphic person-in-suit-style dinosaurs---they stumble on a plot bigger than the murder of an unimportant member of the anthro-dino undercalss.

Emeradis

Theodore Rex Whoopi Goldberg and a T Rex...

Kurt Montandon

No, they're only looking to review *bad* movies. Those are both classics.

Veronica Forker

Traces of Red - Jim Belushi and Tony Goldwyn

The Best Cat

'lethal weapon' - just because the movies we used to love are cringey af now. I'm too old for this shit.

Ben Brogren

The Stallone Dredd Movie maybe. Schneider & Diane Lane provide the 'buddy' portion of the formula. Last Action Hero Schwarzenegger and the kid, Charles Dance is lots of fun in it. GF recommended the Rush Hour movies. BULLETPROOF Wayans and Sandler being awful

Mark H

Last Action Hero

Dylan cash

Stop! Or my mom will shoot! Sylvester Stallone and Estelle Getty “This is one of the worst films in the solar system”. Sylvester Stallone Arnold trick Sly into doing this film by pretending to want to start in it. They were feuding at the time and Arnold read the script first knew it was bad but leaked that he wanted it to be his next project knowing they had also sent the script to Stallone. And that’s how we ended up with this piece of crap!

Mark H

It’s fun to watch with the sound off!

Ben Wilcox

An animated option: Osmosis Jones (although Bill Murray is live action) - also relevant for COVID

Mark H

So many good suggestions, but Theodore Rex was made with GAM in mind

The Godless Trucker & his trusty dog Loki

I've suggested it a few times now, and maybe now you guys will do it! I suggest Demolition Man! I love this movie, and it's so bad! Sly Stallone, Dennis Leary, Wesley Snipes, and Sandy Bullock!

frickinskater

Was going to suggest this one too baffles me that this movie exists

Mattbox

2nd for Theodore Rex

Pezski

Hot Fuzz? How very dare you!

Pezski

How have I never heard of this????

Jan Cerny

Schwarzenegger/Belushi, “Red Heat.” Hugely lame; raking it over the coals will redeem it. Now that I think of it, any cop movie with Jim the-unfunny-brother Belushi. Another possibility is “Rising Sun,” with Connery and Snipes—most nationalistic, paranoid, racist fantasy that was ever released with a straight face.

SilentDis

I was originally going to suggest Turner and Hooch. Then I remembered the dog dies at the end. I can't put people through a traumatic moment of my childhood.

Joseph Kubal

What ever you end up picking, do fun bad this month...... You need it after the Snyder Cut (thank you for suffering on our behalf).

Peter Graham

It’s actually a pretty good movie, but what about the Canadian movie, “Bon Cop, Bad Cop” ?

Don Toovey

Turner and hooch top hanks is awesome as usual but it’s a real dog of a movie

Iheart Dogs

PLEASE do Happytime Murders!

Simmo

Big trouble in little Tokyo! It has Dolph Lundgren, sword fights, gun fights, and a heart warming cop to cop penis compliment. 8/10

Shane

Dragnet (Aykord and Hanks)

Makin' do.

Silence of the lambs hear me out it is a team up. Agent starling basically started the trend of police officers being teamed up with 'super geniuses" that has turned into almost every crime show on network television.

From Patreon with Love

Red Heat with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim Belushi. I watched it when I was a kid, Arnold with a Russian accent is hilarious.

Cyn R Johnson

Sean Connery as a monk in ‘Name of the Rose’. Hmm, Umberto Eco...

Michael Colon

Theodore Rex is getting some mentions here. I wanted RIPD. But dino cop looks way worse. Whoopi Goldberg phoning it in? Special effects that wouldn't cut it on Sesame Street? I'm here for it.

marissa haire

Tango and Cash. I need more Stallone impersonations in my life.

Gold

+1 for Stallone's Dredd, but only if the cast are fans of the Judge Dredd comics and understand all that is wrong with this one.

David Wallace

You could always do Samurai Cop again

Jin Hadah

K-9. It's an hour and a half of Jim Belushi chewing the scenery and clearly going through withdraw, and there's also a dog.

Jin Hadah

I absolutely loved this movie and it is worthy of the title of god awful

Jin Hadah

The Last Boyscout

john Morrow

"you're pulling a 360 on me?!"

Michael Colon

Oh God. I fucking hate Joe Piscapo. So yeah. Sounds like a good pick.

Mike Ulm

The Other Guys has Mark Wahlberg, which is always fun for a review. It's actually an entertaining movie. Something you guys deserve after all the crap you watch.

Brian Melrose

I am going to go with cop and a half - a early 90’s Burt Reynolds who doesn’t care at all? You know you want it!

Dan

Bright (2017, Netflix) - Will Smith buddy cops with an Orc in the modern LAPD battling elves, wizards, and other cops over... wait for it... a magic wand.

Dan

Includes Will Smith uttering the line, "Faerie lives don't matter today." AND IT'S IN THE TRAILER. THEY WERE PROUD OF IT! IT'S NOT EVEN A GOOD LINE-READ.

I know the stripper's real name.

Chuck Norris's Side Kicks, not exactly in the genre but amazing either way. Top Dog if you have to stay true.

That Julia Person

I keep nominating this terrible fucking movie, and they keep not doing it. I don't really think it fits the genre, but it is god awful.

John

COLLISION COURSE with Jay Leno and Pat Morita!

John

Showdown in Little Tokyo!

John

I do love a deep cut, and good call on "Partners." I could've gone for "Armed and Dangerous," "City Heat," or even "Taxi." But I recall Jay Leno's failed attempt at becoming a movie star...

Simmo

Same movie, released with a different title

Skyler Lawrence

The obvious choice is “White Chicks”, is it not?

Kidda Sweet

confession, I thought this was that old 80s buddy cop and his dog movie, so the first half of this was kind of a weird experience. :) Tango and Cash, Turner and Hooch.... you know.
