The thing that pisses me off is that there is almost a good movie here. Imagine that each of the characters in the plane crash have some dark secret, mike norris killed his daughter, the priest is a pedophile etc. People act weird, there is no technology. The characters start to see walking corpses. The characters could try to walk out of town but then a sandstorm or a flash flood prevents them from leaving. Each of the characters has to confront their past, david sees the kids he abused , mike comes to see lyric as his own daughter but then she dies. The plot reaches its climax and they all realize that they died in the plane crash and are in hell. As the movie fades to black an acoustic version of hotel california plays. But instead we have this heaping pile of shit. Hollywood hmu

Catholicism discourages lay people from owning/reading the bible on their own. The dogma is that only clergy are capable of understanding scripture, and lay people should rely on the interpretations given to them. Basically the Church wants to secure a position as middle man to keep the money coming in.

Have you guys ever done "The devil's rain?" This movie reminds me a lot of it. Weird small town, satanic cult, but it has vintage shatner and borgnine, eyeless creeps, melting people and an equally bananas plot. I love it but it's perfect for you guys.
