Michel should move to Alberta and just shut the fuck up already. I have nothing but contempt and quite a bit of anger for anyone who would make a pro-conversion therapy movie. Thank y'all, especially Patrick, for mocking this horror. Last thing: I know a woman who was put in Southern Baptist gay conversion therapy. More than fifty years later, she's no longer a Southern Baptist, but she is still a lesbian. Thank goodness!

I watched this with my wife, a clinical psychologist who has taught Psych at community college. We paused every 3 minutes or so to fact check, or clear up confusion she had over their use of terminology, or discuss life experiences that belied everything said. And of course to say mocking things in Quebecois accent.

I tried to back up to figure out what Michel was saying. I gave up quickly. I did watch the whole thing, but not understanding the narrator left me with zero idea what each segment was even trying to communicate. The whole film was confusing & a waste of time. It was the GAM crew that translated the issues for me. Kudos to them for making it through *and* understanding the points that were put forward as "facts." Yup. It was only whining about how nobody listens to them.

I kind of wonder if diet is one of those words that has been mutated in some way. If you think of the scientific diet then it's just a word to describe the foods you usually eat. It makes sense that the modern idea of diets don't work because you don't go on a diet you'd need to change your diet permanently. It's always come off as a sales tactic to me, make it seem like a temporary change with permanent results so people buy it.
