Did anyone else really want to know what the politics of the people who made this movie was? ….1960 was before the moral majority so it’s not necessarily far right Republican

Kristine VanRaalte

Make Christians Cry would be an awesome YouTube show!!!!

Winter

I would totally watch that and probably participate at some point

I’mNotSayingThat

Sounds like Texas opened a website, prolifewhistleblower.com, to report women who violate the new abortion bill — even letting you post pictures of “violators.” Be a real shame if a couple thousand PIAT listeners took a moment out of their day to spam it with goatse and furry porn.

Denise Huston

You picked this one so Eli could do his 1940s radio voice, didn't you? We're onto you!

NtimN8r

I didn't believe you at first. Fuck TEXAS!

I’mNotSayingThat

@NtimN8r Yeah, they’re really going full witch-hunt down there.

Peter Kyrouac

I loved Jessica as a guest on this episode! I laughed pretty hard several times throughout—especially once Eli started on the "Bolivia clock" bit. I was so hoping that Heath was not going to let that one go too easily; I was not disappointed.

Ben Walsh

Does anyone know what episode Jessica was on previously?

FRED R GROOTHUIS

Re: Marbles. Gentlemen and especially Heath as one old guy patron i will tell you at Edison Elementary in 1960 marbles were currency. We played for keeps. It was fucking cut throat. 8 year olds Fist fighting were a thing.

Taru Tikkanen

Sure hope Jessica will guest again! She’s a delightful host.

Ian from wine country

You mean when Eli called Heath a fat bitch? Or was it Heath calling Eli... I don't remember. I think that was part of the joke. And since when has any PiaT show not been edgy?

Jess Donovan

I'm a middle aged dude so I may have missed it but 'misogynistic slurs'? Where were they?

Elvis Manson

Oh you darling youngsters who didn't actually live in 1960. When the movie intimated that the kids could not disinvite George or stop him from coming, it reflected the way things really were. Recall that George responded to the invitation by snail mail. That was definitely a thing. Only in dire emergencies would people make such arrangements by phone. Long distance phone calls were not something a teenager could just do, and even if they did there were no answering machines, call forwarding… or even ways to get through a busy signal. It was a crap shoot getting through to people. Once a person left home and was on the way to a distant destination (which could take all day or longer), there really was no practical way to contact them.

Aaaand now i'm crying about Laika. ;-;

Cindy, I don't wanna Sealion you and I don't have your lived experience. So I will stop after this. Incels and Dave Rubin seem like a long bow to draw. Which bits are you talking about?

Lisa keeneth

Mom has a name, she is Mrs. Husband

And don't you think that the scene with the waiter was because the kids didn't want the waiter to hear their discussion of their plans with the science guy? Everybody knew everybody else in town back then. Anyway, that's how I interpreted it.

Bob Sieli pronounced 'See-lee'

Were the brother and sister wanting to have sex at the end of this? They were giving each other looks. lol The sister's name is Donna, btw.
