for the balloon thing, my family would put balloons on my dad's grave on his birthday, so at least my family does that

I'm still waiting for a Christian movie to explain why, if God is doing all the work and doctors don't know anything, the true believers just check out of the hospital. It might be a ton of paperwork, but that has to be better than staying at a shitty apartment were the employees keep trying to do things to you and the rent is really expensive.

I didn't expect to hear my first name in one of these unless someone did a Christian movie version of David Copperfield.

That's an easy one. ANYONE who believes in bullshit (Qanon, flat earth, anti vax, 2nd amendment, religion, GOP, et al) has no problem with inconsistency.

It is that stupid parable of the man stuck on the roof of his house during a flood. He turns away multiple kinds of help because god will watch over him and save him. He dies because he is a dumbass and then asks god why god didn't save him, and god says "But I did. I sent you the rescue raft and the helicopter and you turned them away." It is their way of getting to have all the benefits of real scientific help while still giving god all the credit.

When the dad said “I’ll love you no matter what you do with your life” I wanted the son to ask “what if I were gay?”

I went on YouTube to see if the movie was available to watch, and all I see is a movie with Emma Stone about some crazy English queen. I was thinking about what kind of Christian angle there would be, and why it would end up in GAM's queue. Then I started the episode and heard them talking about something completely different. Oh well. Maybe I'll end up watching the secular "The Favorite".

I know a similar joke with two boats and a lifeguard. Still drives me crazy.

Heath's writers room meeting sketch is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time.

Never forget leg day might be my favorite joke the guys have ever made 😂
