Before I listen, I just want to say I REALLY appreciate you guys... including Tim. I didn't realize how much podcasts are an escape from reality for me until things change & I don't have that anymore & then the absence of that escape is obvious. Thanks for all you guys do.

For those that aren't on FB, I want to make it clear that we will be addressing the recent allegations against Andrew Torrez on the next episode of The Scathing Atheist. We didn't think GAM was the right venue for it, as Scathing has both the better format and the larger audience. I just want you guys to know -- you're the people who made me feel safe exploring atheist/skeptic communities for the first time as a woman and LGBTQ person, and none of that has changed. From my perspective, whatever that's worth, it seems like you're handling a really difficult situation as well as anyone could. Nice, just what I needed this week a classic apocalypse GAM without guest hosts. I am about halfway through and it's all I was expecting and more. I even will get awarded one point retrospectively, if ever a haberdasher sponsors GAM in the future. Back to guest hosts, will we get an episode with Moishe any time soon? It has been a while.

I want to say it felt weird tonight, though it was as good a show as any. I'm here because I like the show, of course. I've listened to the show for years and the current situation with Andrew Torrez cut into enjoying the show tonight. I appreciate that a message was sent that the Andrew Torrez issue would be addressed in the next Scathing episode, which I definitely agree is the more appropriate venue. I understand things have developed even since that announcement was made, and frankly there is no "correct" way to handle this awful situation. This episode may well have been recorded in advance. You may be obligated to create or release episodes in ways I don't understand. It just felt wrong to hear you joking and laughing with what's going on and I wanted to say that. I really hope we can come out of this stronger and not just wounded.

I can't overstate how much I needed to just hear you guys and have fun for those 90 minutes. I had to seriously entertain the idea that we might lose PiaT and it was frankly terrifying to realise for how long I've relied on having your voices in my ear to get through the week. This is the only community I've ever felt welcome in, and I'm happy you take it seriously and maturely, while also pulling out very unserious and immature poop jokes.
