This month, we dive into the inauspicious birth of the video game movie genre with the movie that invented raping my childhood. And we regret it greatly.

from what i remember. yoshi was pretty on par for this movie, though they never use it.

Markus Nävergård

had a friend that insisted that this move was canon to the games. Also, Daisy in this movie is suppoosed to be a dinosaur but they chickened out and made the dinosapians human looking, Cowards. Give me sexy dino ladies

Marcus Spaur

Apparently I should watch this movie again. It's such a stark difference how it's described here to how I remember it. 😆

Stuck at work and going through the archives, I think to myself "I think a bomus episode is coming out soon" not 5 minutes later it's on my phone. GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

Jonathan Edwards

Dying with laughter on a Tokyo train on my way home from work. Surrounded by Japanese people who think there's another drunk gaijin again. Some days I love my life. Thanks guys. Also. Is the other bonus episode this month going to be airbender? Would love to explain to my Japanese friends that "Yes all Asians are actually white"

Joseph Kubal

The narrator for this movie was Dan Castellaneta, voice of Homer Simpson.... I am sad now.

GeekOfDoom

Great episode! Now back to "I'm in Love with a Church Girl" already in progress.

Awesome! Something to listen to while wage slaving. I remember seeing this when I was a kid. It was the very first movie that I was truly disappointed in. I've got the Rifftrax version on my hard drive, but I'm yet to watch it.

Mark Siefert

Being an A:TLB fan, I wanted to drive a sharp pointy object into M. Night Shyamalan's throat and shout everything he got wrong in his face as he bleed-out before me. "No! Ang is suppose to be goofy and lovable, not a lobotomized pre-teen who took a couple of Tae Kwon Do classes at the strip mall!"

Jonathan Edwards

Nice fantasy, I needed the chuckle. That said, I would have taken the remnants of whatever Lite-Brite set Shymalan used to form the Flying Bison Tattoo on Aang's head and used them to tattoo his ass red. Then turn him loose in a cage of rabid, sexually frustrated macaques. Your turn....PRANK WAR!!

Worst 'The Last Airbender' review EVER.

Wrath of Squirrels

PLEASE do Last Airbender next. My wife and I implore you!

Eli, I am dissapointed with your Harry Potter confusion. That's Aunt Petunia, not Mrs Weasley.

The thought of you guys doing a review of "face off" at some point is making me so happy <3

Erik

Weasley. Be pedantic better ;)

Hail Stan

So, I saw this movie and The Sandlot at a double feature at a drive-in theater. Super Mario Bros. came first, and it fucking wrecked my 13-year-old mind to the point where I barely remembered The Sandlot.

jessica

not Mrs. Wesley, she's Aunt Petunia.

qabalistic

Typo, can't type on my phone in gloves apparently

Christopher Arguin

I will from now on call the maintenance hatch the "Bruce Willis hatch".

Grant Cosper

Samantha Mathis, Pump Up the Volume, you're welcome

Heath's first line echoed my thoughts so perfectly that I had to pause the podcast. "What the FUCK is Dennis Hopper doing in this movie?"

Tyler

A:TLB? Never got into that show, but I assume A:TLB = "Avatar: The Last Bender" which by title alone would need to go in the normal streams "A world without benders" sounds like Christian wish fulfillment.

Else Black

For a while I though Julie Walters was in the movie - phew

Tyler

Of all of the confusing things you guys talk about in this one, something mentioned off-hand near the end has been really bugging me: Noah, why on earth did you recently play through E.T. for the 2600? Are you ok?

Christopher Horton

Just got internet back, and I've been dying to comment: if Heath refuses to watch Street Fighter, I'm perfectly willing to take his place. I'm a yuge SF nerd, and can talk for HOURS about that movie. Heath'll be funnier than me, though, so he should do it.

On the topic if turning the heat off in a building in a desert: Deserts tend to get very cold at night.
