Best worst wish-granting genie ever!

Comments

Jesse Ozog

That wishbone came true!

Kevin McGonigle

Point of contention. Freddy was not the peak of Wes Craven that would be ghost face

Kevin McGonigle

Also if you think this one had problems the second and third wish master are even more GAM worthy. A teaser you have a fight between the Djinn and The Arch Angel Michael possessing some college kid.

Mark Smith

I enjoyed that, thank you.

Timothy Lehnerer

True Fact: Wes Craven got degrees in English and psychology from Wheaton College for Christ and His Kingdom.

Scott Lesch

I'm a dad. I read those stories to my daughter. Yes Amelia Bedelia is hot. The maid costume? The black stockings?

Scott Lesch

"French Maid costume". Heath knows.

Paul Arndt

OMG Noah you are SO right! Robert Englund, Freddy he may be, is Willie every time I see him

Markus Nävergård

why would a satue of Azhura mazda be cursed with evil? it should be Angra maniyu ( Arhiman) the evil god of Zorastrism. Movie makers cant research

B. King

So Craven only produced Wishmaster. Putting his name on it was part of the side deals done to get Scream (1996) done. And for Wishmaster it worked. Cost 5mil, made 15mil despite being terrible.

Markus Nävergård

hmm maybe the smoking could be a refrence that Djinns in islam are made from smoke less fire. Well ifrits are. Genies are made from fire.

Damion Damaske

... They do realize Wes Craven didn't direct this, right?

Denise Huston

How on EARTH did they greenlight sequels?!

B. King

Wes wrote and created Freddy/Nightmare. Ghostface was created by Kevin Williamson.

Kevin McGonigle

Not enough respect was given to the security guard in this episode. That ain’t some guy that’s Tony Todd aka Candyman

Uriah Jackson

Or the sequel where the goth/witch main character has to cut fingers off to magically restore her virginity... Somehow.

Kevin McGonigle

On the bright side they crucify a priest and lawyer fucks himself to death in that one lol

Uriah Jackson

I was coming to bring that up as well. Ahura Mazda was the inspiration for the late Jewish/early Christian conception of god after the Jews were freed from Persian rule. He was source of all light, knowledge and goodness. Angra Mainu/Ahriman would have been the correct option for a collection of evil.

Markus Nävergård

wich is why horror movies are among the most profitable generas. very little cost of making them and very high profit even if they are terrible

Someday Sera

I feel like i recall eli mentioning recording this on Dear Old Dads several weeks ago, this was probably before the heart attack. I'd love to be wrong though.

Markus Nävergård

if one wants scary Djinns, ifrits are you to go or Ghuls. Ghuls are Djinns that feed on the dead and hang around in cementaries

Spiked Nalgene

My 'put too much thought into it' idea was that they would put the evil gem into a _good_ holy statue as a was of guarding against/neutralizing the evil.

Adam Pope

it's pronounced Djinn ;)

Markus Nävergård

yeah, But Djinn isa type of spirits and there is various types of Djinns, Genies, ifrits, marids and Ghuls. Iblis is the greatest of ifrits and is the islamic devil and the Djinns that follow Iblis are named Shaitan

Bunny Bismuth, Bun-Bun of Seething

Hey, genie guy played by Noah: if it makes you feel better, Amelia Bedelia is hot, and we're not the only ones that think so. She's got a surprising amount of fanart for a character that didn't have a TV show

Julie Wine&Reason

No, that would make sense. I know someone who had the same procedure. It takes a minute to get one's strength back.

Winter

If you look at the dates, Robert Englund played Willie and Freddy in the same year (I was obsessed with him in high school)

BT Dubs

Fuck yeah, Noah. NoES 3, THE DREAM WARRIORS- theme song performed by Motherfuckin' DOKKEN!!

Sylveon_Enjoyer

this movie is dumb as hell but I kind of genuinely enjoyed it; the combination of stupid plot and great production value (2 or 3 instances of bad cg aside) made it a really fun watch.
