Evil Inc Shareholders' Report: Comics, Christmas, and a Goblin Girl Who’s About to Make a Splash… (Patreon)
Content
Hey, Villain-Curious Friends!
It’s been a lively week across the Evil Inc universe — and the next stretch promises even more mischief. Here’s what’s been happening on the drawing board, on Patreon, and out in the wilds of social media…
📰 Chapter 17 Takes Off
I put the public-facing comic on hold last week so we could focus on Thanksgiving. Patreon backers have continued to get early access to the comic as it progresses.
When the storyline resumes, we’ll get to see Hailey make her move on Cap — and stardom!
The tone is set, the awkwardness is delicious, and the social-media chaos is just beginning.
Next week: Page 2 arrives — with a breakfast-themed punchline that absolutely walks right up to the edge of “demonstrably obscene” and politely waves.
🔥 A Gripping New Series
“Bless me, Father, for I have sinned…”
I had an idea that’s either the funniest thing ever... or the stupidest. Actually, it might be both. Remember this bonus comic?
Well, I decided those guys deserved their own series.
Stay 'tooned. It's gonna get weird.
🧟♀️ Evil Inc After Dark: Monster Girl Madness Continues
Last week’s Monster Girl Poll crowned Goblin Girl, and that three-way tie for second place really revved people’s imaginations.
Patreon backers have already submitted ideas for ➡️ What scene should Goblin Girl star in? I’ll pick my favorite suggestion and turn it into a fully rendered commissioned illustration. The winner gets the hi-res file.
The suggestions have absolutely nailed the spirit of creativity! Expect goblins doing goblin things.
🎄 #GuigarChristmasCountdown — Full Swing
On Tuesday, I’ll launch this year’s daily Guigar Christmas Countdown, with a new single-panel cartoon dropping each day until Christmas. Here’s another sneak preview…
Catch them on Bluesky, Patreon chat, the Evil Inc Subreddit or wherever holiday absurdity is legally sold.
🎙 ComicLab: Color Commentary
This week on ComicLab, we discussed one of the first artistic decisions you’ll face as a cartoonist — color… or black and white? It’s a choice that affects aesthetics, workload, reader expectations, and even your growth as a cartoonist. We'll break down of the major considerations — practical, creative, and strategic — to help guide your decision.
This month, our show is sponsored by Huion, makers of the Kamvas 22 Plus, and they're offering additional discounts on the following products when you use the discount code: COMICLAB
If you’re looking for an improvement in your note-taking/brainstorming process, check out the Huion Note. With writing synchronizing, offline storage, document management, one-click PDF sharing, and portable A5 size, Huion Note will redefine what a new generation of notebooks can do. This might be the perfect git for the college student on your list. The danged thing even records audio notes that are embedded into your written ones!
PLUS, it doubles as a digital tablet!
Thanks for being here. Whether you’re here for the story, the spice, the craft talk, or the chaos, I’m thrilled you’re part of this little universe I’m building. 🦹♂️✨
