I usually start the week off with a simple single-panel cartoon. I started calling these "bonus cartoons" so long ago, I'm not sure if I could rebrand them — even if I had a good title in mind for the series. I'm debating collecting them into a book next year, so I'm gonna have to decide soon.

The year started off with a comic that originally had a caption that read "The birth of polyamory," but I finally decided the punchline was superfluous. After looking up what that meant, I deleted the caption.

The year had a couple of good DnD-themed swings. I'm still chuckling over "chaotic bottom."

...and if I'm being honest, the real fun in this one was thinking up names for the products one would find in an adults-only adventurers' supply shop.

This was a pretty straight-forward punchline, but the way the knight is standing makes me laugh every time. You get the feeling he doesn't get to show off his lance a lot.

I love when I can come up with a theme and run with it. Mad Monster Key Party was particularly fun. Out of curiosity, there's a very subtle homage in the punchline. Did you catch it?

I don't know what was more fun. Drawing the incredulous green witch or just barely hiding a phallus and a couple anal plugs on Soggz's tentacles. Plus... his expression is so joyously lewd... You can understand why the ginger witch is blushing a little.

Speaking of loving a good theme I can run with, this No Nut November cartoon inspired the current Herbie & John comics.

As I look back over these, I’m reminded why I love doing these bonus cartoons so much: they let me chase a goofy idea, twist it into something filthy, and follow it wherever it wants to go. Thanks for laughing along with me all year — and for giving me the freedom to get weird, thematic, and occasionally educational. Here’s to even more trouble in the coming year.
