Hey friends! I'm working on a video for next week in which I play through a prewritten solo adventure. (This is different from my Aisling solo campaign — we're just gonna have a lot of solitaire content upcoming 😂)

Which of these characters would you like to see me play in a solo adventure?  I'll probably use two! I'm only including options for the ones I have miniatures for, so I can use the minis in the game.

Joe Kontor

I really wanna see Edith outside her temple!

Peter Flood

I've played a solo adventure by Obvious Mimic Press. It was pretty fun!

Ooh, I'm glad you liked it, because I'm playing one of their adventures for this video!!

Cynical Rhys

More Na'Krasha content is always welcome

Max Brannan

There are no wrong answers but Na'Krasha has big "you'll never believe what happened to me today" energy. Also, I've been solo-curious so I'll be revisiting the video on the topic. Anyone have any new suggestions to add since that video came out?

Aaron Martin

Rogue. I want to see what happens when you solo with no magic.

Chris Codina

I see Na'Krasha, I vote Na'Krasha.

This video will feature a publisher called Obvious Mimic who has two solo adventures out and a third on the way in August! There are also tons of games that are specifically designed to be solo play RPGs if you aren't married to playing D&D — there's a fantastic video from Dicebreaker recommending 15 of their favs!

I'm gonna be real with you, I LOVE spellcasters and it sounds less fun to me to have no magic in the group!!

Max Brannan
>>142789162

Good to know and thank you. I'll probably purchase the Obvious Mimic publications and get a sense of thier vibe.

Jeffrey Williams

Rouge's have more fun and more sneaky then anyone else

George J.Lekkas

Cleric /Wizard gives you survival choices/options.

Chris W

Morelia because druids don't get enough love, but Na'Krasha will crush it because apparently women who can crush you are in this season ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Jonathan & Megan Pierson

Augury's an interesting option. It's hard for me to imagine her on an adventure. I always picture her as more of the mastermind type, behind the scenes, pulling the strings, hiring other people to do the dirty, dirty work of adventuring. Ooo. Playing Augury in a city-based criminal intrigue adventure. Looks like Augury's not getting much love in the poll though. Oh well. As in the fantasy world, so in the real world, I suppose. It's fine. Augury neither wants, nor needs, love. Edit: Looks like I spoke too soon. Augury is now neck-and-neck with Nymwen, and they're closing on Wisteria. Sooo hoping we get to see you roleplaying Augury and Wisteria off of each other :-D.

I think for a single adventure, I can come up with a reason that pretty much anybody would be out in the world! Even homebodies like Augury and Edith, haha. But it's definitely easier to explain a character like Na'Krasha!

Geoff Gilbert

YES! Love the way voting is looking right now. Na'Krasha is my favorite character and I refuse to evaluate why!

Jonathan Blanton

I'd love to see more of Wisteria! Especially with a fierce mama-bear half-orc bodyguard watching over her. I'll bet Na'Krasha could throw Wisteria over her shoulder and carry her to safety. Should the need arise.

Graves

it really depends on what the adventure is. My fav or your characters is Nymwen but i voted Wisteria as if things are lighter, her...mistakes could lead to a humorous chaosgasm

Follow your heart, Ginny. Always. Unless your heart tells you to put Josh's underwear on your head and run down the street at 3 AM screaming, "I AM the Lizard Queen!" That could raise questions. Though I suppose it wouldn't raise any more than that time you spent the afternoon lurking in the bushes at the park dressed as a giant rabbit. Yeah, you know what, you're good: follow your heart wherever it leads.

J. Kevin Carrier

I feel like Na'Krasha would have the most survivability running solo. Although ideally, she would be paired up with some flavor of spellcaster, for those rare occasions when brute force isn't the answer. ;-)

Clay

I voted for Nymwen. In general, the idea of a knowledge cleric / necromancer multiclass seems like the most self-complete character option on the list.

Nathanial

I totally put Penelope, but since she wasn’t a top contender, I put Nakrasha, because I am more familiar with her than Wisteria, but I would be up for seeing either of them.

NathalieBoelens

Voted Nymwen, because her secrets and schemes intrigue me!

So now you got me thinkin' :-) Augury probably has jobs that are important enough to her that she feels the need to go along and supervise the operation, just because she doesn't really trust anyone. She hires Na'Krasha as a body guard/muscle. And, unfortunately, they need Wisteria's knack for picking up spells on the fly. Augury spends much of the adventure glaring icy daggers at the annoying gnome, until finally, in a matter-of-fact tone, she tells her, "I want you to know that when all of this is over, I'm going to have Na'Krasha kill you." Wisteria looks at Na'Krasha with wide eyes: "You wouldn't *really* kill me. Would you, Na'Krasha?" Na'Krasha shrugs. "A job is a job. And she's right: you are very annoying."

Katherine Ormsbee

I'm personally for Edith because I love her personality and the concept behind her character, and I'd love to see her get an actual adventure, but I understand people wanting to focus more on Na'Krasha. I'm excited for the solo adventure either way because these are all fun characters, and I enjoy seeing how people approach solo play in general! I started out with the solo adventurer's toolbox because of Ginny Di's recommendation, so I'm very curious to see how this will turn out in practice!

Bryon Kershaw

I for one am excited to hear a whole adventure with the N'Krasha voice! The real question is, will player Ginny be wearing the tusks?

Khadorek

Elliwyn could also be an artificer (that's the doctor, right?)

ginnydi
>>142801992

Having reviewed the instructions for the adventure, I think this is gonna be a one-player sitch, but I am actually really excited by the idea of playing a whole party of my NPCs off of each other in a more "solo adventurer's toolbox" set-up! I suppose we'll see how this video and the Aisling campaign video do, and if there's continued demand for solo play, maybe I'll get to try it out!

ginnydi
>>142804379

Oh! Yes! You're absolutely right, that thought occurred to me while I was putting together my Artificer video and then immediately disappeared from my mind forever, haha. Good call!

Foxglove
>>142804379

Alchemist? I was thinking Healer’s Feat with healers kit for an action 1d6+4+hit dice number, do you think that would work?

Daniel Negrete

Long time watcher, first time commenter. Just want to say you've helped me become a better dm/player with all your videos. 😊

Anthony Docimo

imho, Penelope and Na'krasha are my favorites, but I enjoy watching all of them. you do awesome work.

Stephen Miller

I am a big fan of May Bell (she's my phone's lock screen) so I picked her. Would be great to see her in action!

William Thorndike

I’d love to see Augury do a solo adventure. She always seemed like the kind to not get her hands dirty, so I’d be interested to see how she handles herself without henchmen.

Twi

So hard to choose... Na'krasha? Wisteria? Nymwen?

Twi

I went with Wisteria because it would be funny.

Luka Murphy

I voted for Morelia because what could be more cosy from the outset than Morelia going on an quest for ingredients!

Michael Peters

I know whatever character you pick, you will create a wonderful event. You are truly an amazing Artist and I just enjoy all of your work.

Katherine Ormsbee
>>142801992

That makes sense! Well, regardless of how it turns out, you have my vote for more solo if that's something you want to do more of! I'm very excited to see how these videos turn out!! :D

mjjf

Na'Krasha is my first choice! Then Elliwyn and Nymwen :)

Richard Riley
>>142802795

I love Na'Krasha, but also think she gets a lot of screen time and am hoping to see some more supporting characters. :)

Tony Ebers

Honestly they'd all have great solo adventures so you can't go wrong any way

Loukas Paquette

Why is there so little votes for Elllwyn? 😭

Antonio G.

I was hoping May Bell would get more votes.

Karl Rasmussen
>>142983843

Elliwyn is a little hard to do in 5e imo... Maybe grim surgeon rogue from griffon's saddlebag? If this was PF2, I'd vote for her in a heartbeat. (Also, a surgeon works much better in a party than solo)

Pip (Foxes and Ravens)

I feel like Nymwen’s background of being from an academy, with the undead stuff would make for a great one shot/solo adventure! Dark academia, Harry-potter-esque sneaking around the school, fighting off trolls and such

Zosalot

All of them. lol I vote Nymwen because I too am a necromancer in love with dead people. I think she could be interesting. Looks like Na'Krasha is winning, but I love her too!

Obinna Iwuchukwu

I picked Edith because she hasn't been on an adventure yet. It's also sad you can't use a cleric of Sune for Baldur's Gate 3. That could have been a lot of fun.

Scabbers

Obviously Elliwyn didn't win... but if she did. This Rogue: Field Medic homebrew spec is really appropriate! It's got some solid content and fits well into the base game. I playtested it a bit and it plays pretty well. I personally disagree with the designer on Proficiency Bonus scaling, though that's up to the beholder. https://www.reddit.com/r/UnearthedArcana/comments/p0e0s4/rogue_field_medic_become_the_nonmagical_healer/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

*spoiler warning for the video* I'm glad to see N'Krasha encountered the undead and then roll a NAT 1 on her first attack! Lol!
