This was NOT what we expected… 👀🧛‍♀️

Our first real 90’s show experience and wow, the vibe is SO different, but in a good way. As Gen Z, we didn’t know what to expect, but the whole aesthetic, the storytelling, and especially this version of vampires and that whole transformation style got us really interested 👀🔥

We really liked how strong Buffy is, even in just episode 1, she already feels like a great and powerful main character!

Yesss! Always wanted to watch Buffy🤩 . After Twilight, Vampire diaries & the Underworld movies I’m happy to start this journey with y’all . Pretty sure it has at least one movie too & there is a spin off show called Angel which is also very good I hear

Yep. Angel is wayyyyy better than Buffy, and that's saying a lot considering Buffy is amazing. It's an extremely depressing show though. In my opinion, Angel is legit up there with Battlestar Galactica when it comes to doom and gloom.

I love how Julie is such a Twilight hater. We stan lmao. Twilight is a disgrace to Vampire lore. Legit almost ruined the vampire genre. I thank God every day that TVD & The Originals were made.

Your comment about Cordelia looking forty made me laugh because she's already twenty-seven right here. But none of the high school students were 'high school' students here. I think Buffy was the youngest cast member, and she was twenty. So they're all playing younger. I don't know if you realize, but the lady who screamed when the dead body fell out of the locker was Abby from TVD. The creator created a show based on the idea that there was always a blonde girl in every horror movie who was killed, and he wanted to make one that featured the blonde girl as the hero. Also TVDU was heavily influenced by Buffy so even though both shows came out in different times like they both still probably have the same vibes. And I loved that you said Cordelia wasn't mean when she turned down that guy. Like I think because she is our mean girl that a lot of reactors gloss over the fact that she is still aloud to say no to a guy if she's not interested in him.

Her mum does not know. There is only one slayer and she's always a girl, you'll learn more about the why and how in the seven seasons of the show. I have not seen The Vampire Diaries but I know it took some inspiration from Buffy, so there will be some things that are similar. You mention it being too soon to have an opinion on the characters other than Buffy, but I'm certain that like everyone you fell in love with Willow.
