Mr Jackpots

The BeeGees were the most iconic group of the disco era. Their songs became part of popular culture so you probably have heard the melody somewhere, in a commercial or on a movie/TV show soundtrack. The movie Saturday Night Fever, with it's opening song of Staying Alive, propelled them and John Travolta to stardom. Barry Gibb, the oldest of the three brothers, is the only one still alive and still performing. The name of the group comes from his initials, BG.

Them boys could sing. Although I prefer their early work from the late 60s/early 70s, their disco era is the gateway for most listeners to their music. One great example of their early work is the song 'New York Mining Disaster 1941.' Look, I think most of us can agree that the boomers have done irreparable damage to this planet for all future generations... BUT they created the best music the human race will likely ever have so they weren't completely useless.
