We’re locked in (literally, can’t leave for 30 days!) for a first-time watch of this cravenly cold vampire flick and the bloodsuckers do get to us before 30 days ends?? Well At least we got to watch Josh Hartnett one last time before we say goodbye 💋❄️🩸

The vampire design for this movie was genuine nightmare fuel for me when this was released 🫣

This is another one that I think I watched years ago, I just can’t remember.. I’ve watched A LOT of movies. It was -16F degrees here in New Hampshire on Tuesday/Wednesday morning. 🥶 It took me 3 attempts to start my Jeep. Side note: I lived in Keflavik Iceland from Aug-Feb 2000. There was this one day when the sun came up and then went down a few minutes later.. it was dark for most of the time we were there.😳

Oh their bone structure has been on my MIND! I would not want to see one of those things creeping around at night!!!

Petty Pumpkins

Oh Wow! How interesting! A FEW MINUTES LATER?! That's sooo wild! I don't know how much darkness I could actually take.

Hi guys, I'm on a medical contract in fairbanks alaska right now. It's 518 miles south of barrow. The vibe is spot on with the cold and dark. The thing was like that too. Really enjoyed both of these! 😍

Mike Flanagan saw this movie coz the end is like Riley’s Death on the boat with Erin in Midnight Mass.

I started watching this thinking I had never even heard of this movie only to realize that I had, in fact, watched it at some point. Probably close to when it was released based on how little I remember (and the fact that I thought I'd never heard of it. 🤷‍♀️). But I do remember vampire Danny Huston for some reason. 😆

Until 12 yrs I grew up in Alberta, CA (flat plains with oil workers, ranchers, and farmers) and the winters would get into the -30s F and Celsius lol. I could ski-doo and quad in huge vast fields. I got stuck for a few hours once but managed to dig myself out and get back before the search started lol. A big fear/danger in doing that is getting decapitated by wires farmers put out to keep deer etc out of their land. Some said it was an old wives tail but that always terrified me

I live in Minnesota and when the winters are brutal and it’s white out conditions, it can feel otherworldly. We’ve got a few 18 inches of snow overnight with blizzards and pure white outs where no one is on the roads and it’s like a ghost town. It gets dark even quicker and every house has their curtains drawn. No one is outside. It’s like everyone just burrows away in their homes. The temps can get to -35F with a wind chill of -50F frost bite in minutes. It can be brutal. It used to be strange for me because I’m originally from the UK and we just don’t have weather like that there. It’s very mild, but I’ve lived here now for 20 years so I’m used to it.

Loved your reaction! <3 This is one of my favourite vampire movies! Absolutely love the isolation element in this one and the vampires are so refreshing since so many vampires in media are not really monstrous. Also the sound design, acting and effects are very well done. And i totally agree that the gore looks realistic, its not too over the top and it fits in well with the story. I live in Norway and in the depts of winter we only get like 1-2 hours of sun during the day (and its cloudy during sun hours a lot) so i kind of relate to the climate in this movie. Im a huge vampire nerd so i kind of like imagining where a vampire would thrive the most haha. Unfortunately we have sun 24/7 in the summer so there would be no hot girl summer for vampires here. But being a vampire in winter would be convenient. Also since you like Josh Hartnett i would really reccomend the show "penny dreadful" its incredible. (sorry if its been suggested before i just thought id mention it )
