Our very first journey with PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES was chaotic, unhinged, and unexpectedly heartwarming! Steve Martin and John Candy had us giggling, stressed, endeared, and emotional all at once... it's the kind of holiday film where every single thing goes wrong but your heart grows three sizes anyway ✈️🚂🚗

Safe travels this Holiday Season! ❤️

I never heard of this movie, so I'm happy to watch this for the first time and see what's it is about ☺️

You are in for a treat

Lauren D

Yay! It’s finally thanksgiving!

Lauren D

This is my second favorite movie from my childhood that you are watching after clue 🥰

Sisi M

So funny, but also heartfelt. I always tear up at the end.

Violet

This movie always gets to me and it makes me miss my dad so much. Father of the Bride or Father of the Bride too would be great watches for this channel since you guys love Steve Martin so much! They have Steve Martin, Martin Short, Diane Keaton and they're just amazing movies, they're so funny and so heartwarming!!

Stephanie Ella

I love this movie so much. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 🦃 🍽️

StevieWayne16

Ohhh I always always watch this on Thanksgiving eve. How lovely that I get to watch with you guys this year. 🥰

Jeremy Montanez

OMFG "video unavailable" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 your reaction to that made my day

Chrissy

I’ve never actually watched this and I love John Candy (Uncle Buck with John Candy and Macaulay Culkin would be a good future movie for you to watch). Settling in with my blanket on this COLD day watching this with you and some of your other videos before I watch Stranger Things tonight! (I know you don’t react to it but happy watching!)

Andrea Nolan

Yes, Steve Martin has a phenominal natural physique. He is an endomorph, probably doesn't have to work too hard to build muscle. When he picks up Claire Danes in Shop Girl, he was definitely picking her up, and she is not a small woman. Anyway, you can get a good look at him shirtless in boxers toward the end of 'The Jerk' and also in the movie 'All of Me'. Y'all should watch 'All of Me' starring Queer icon Lily Tomlin, on the channel. It is hilarious and heartwarming. In case it's not obvious, i have had a crush on Steve Martin since i hit puberty. Circa 1987. 😆

Violet

And Uncle Buck is an amazing John Hughes movie starring John Candy!

Andrea Nolan

Same, Gurl, same. I am literally crying right now. My boyfriend ran off with someone else and ghosted me two days before i was supposed to move to Toronto to live with him. I am homeless and putting everything into storage so i can live in a festival tent for a month on a family friend's property, i am looking for a job, and i have no family in the area and i feel like John Candy's character right now. I have always teared up but never sobbed at this movie before now. I need a steve martin to rescue me. Lort, what a mess. Anyway, even when my life wasn't in shambles, i would tear up. This movie is sweet AF, and also stressfull, lol. It's a real heartwarmer.

Robin Beatch

The reverse crash makes be laugh so hard 🤣🤣

Lukas

This is a classic. Love it

StevieWayne16

John Candy was just so good. He could say an entire monologue with just his face.

Emily Carmen

I needed this movie today thanks again for always posting at the exact time your videos are needed the most. I am also going to watch Wiked tomorrow with my mom your reaction. She was stoked when I told her yall reacted to it. This Thanksgiving her birthday falls on the same day and we are just going to hang out and watch this and Wiked tomorrow :-)

Jeremy Montanez

Ok, 😂 one the best funniest non horror movie reaction ive ever seen. Yall did a great job on this one.

Joshua Scott

Happy Thanksgiving Pumpkins 🎃! A classic movie. John Hughes knows how to hit you with the humor abs heart. A few suggestions: Mr. Mom, Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors.

Chrissy

I didn’t put together that his wife is Grace from The Boys until you said! John Hughes movies: The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles are MUST sees, Uncle Buck, Pretty In Pink.

Lavender Violet

Perfect timing! I love this movie soooo much. Laugh out loud funny no matter how many times I have seen it. It has been a long ass day, and this is just what I need. Happy Thanksgiving. ❤️

Libs

Thank y’all for reacting to this! I’d only seen it once when I was very little and my brain was so underdeveloped that I didn’t get any of the jokes. Appreciate ya 💖. Also, Steve Martin’s autobiography “Born Standing Up” is sooooo good!

Libs

Don’t forget Ferris Bueller’s Day Off!! Also Curly Sue! It’s a similar vibe to Home Alone, but if Kevin‘s entire plot was scamming, his quips were 10 times more sassy, he had a drag-level amount of curls, and of course was a girlie!

Emily Carmen

I had a cat named Pork Pie that was a lot like John Candy in this movie. He was so sweet and means well but he always drove my other two kitties crazy. It was so cute how oblivious he was. He was plump and blind and had little munchkin legs. He was absolutely adorable and so sweet natured. It was so cute when you said Tate was like his character because it reminded me of Pork Pie so much😍❤️😍

nj

and dutch - another john hughes movie set around thanksgiving.

Whitney Miller

My John Hughes rec is CURLY SUE !!!!

Stephanie Ella

Have you seen "Uncle Buck" or "Splash"? I loved John Candy so much, RIP.

Stephanie Ella

"Pretty in Pink" is one of my personal faves.

Stephanie Ella

"Curly Sue" (1991) reminded me a lot of "I’ll Do Anything" (1994) - 2 single dads trying to do their best for their (sometimes bratty) curly haired young daughters.

Stephanie Ella

I think it’s time for a "Mr. Mom" rewatch.. haven’t seen it in years. RIP Teri Garr & Martin Mull. 😔

Traci McMurray

Soooo many memories. From seeing this in the movie theater when it came out. To my bestie watches this literally EVERY Thanksgiving. To the behind the scenes and director's cut versions I've seen, telling us how so often they just let Steve Martin and John Candy improv. Apparently most of that bedroom scene (where he says his hand is between two pillows and Steve Martin says "Those aren't pillows!" was almost completely made up on the spot!). Comedic genius and I'm thrilled to see good comedy is good comedy, no matter the generation enjoying it. Thanks for doing this one, guys. Such a treat. And please, yes, take some time to watch Ferris Bueller. Even if just for yourselves. It is my favorite John Hughes movie. I loved it since moment one at the theater. It was just the right movie at the right time at the right age (I was 13 or 14 when it came out). Hope you enjoy it too. Great soundtrack as well. Love to you both.

Traci McMurray

To this day--the car scene, where he's pretending to play the keyboard while driving and gets his arms stuck!!!!! I laugh until tears are rolling down my face!

Traci McMurray

i should also add, Weird Science is a John Hughes movie that is often over-looked and I can understand why, in a way. But as a Gen Xer, Weird Science and Sixteen Candles are just part of what life was like back then. Or how we felt life was like because it was being portrayed to us on a screen. And yes, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, please, if we're taking requests.

Patricia Grant

I love everything about this movie. It really is a perfect holiday movie. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Petty Pumpkins

We've seen neither!!!! We will for sure be doing more John Candy movies! We love him so!

Petty Pumpkins

OMG I (Chey) love that movie but haven't seen it in so long, WES HAS TO WATCH!

Stephanie Ella

Well, I truly hope 2026 is a much better year for you.. 😣🤞 One of my exes posted a GoFundMe years ago that he’d been stranded in the desert by the girl he hooked up with after me and I donated 25 cents. 🤣

Kristin Weiss

First time watch for me too!! Love Steve Martin & John Candy!! For more Steve, I would love for your guys to watch Father of the Bride!!! Such a classic. Thanks for the fun time you two! 🥰
