Always a good one. First female lead and trust me we all noticed. 2 is pretty gender role stereotypes breaking as well.

Even if you don't watch the entire franchise, Aliens (plural, the second movie) is the best of them all and a classic, one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time. Definitely worth a watch!

I definitely second watching Aliens. Ridley Scott talked about the crew being "truck drivers in space." You can see that aesthetic inspired a lot of the Expanse. One thing I really appreciate about old sci-fi is how the models they used for ships really seem more real than the cgi that's used today. Maybe its the way the lighting plays on physical objects that makes it look more real.

You have no idea how much I love this movie. It is perfection and a master class of sci fi horror , world building and building tension. It’s a masterpiece
