There are so many facts about this movie that I want to throw at you, but honestly, you'd be better off going to the IMDb website and reading all the trivia. Most of your questions about this are answered there, and there are also some fun facts that might make you want to watch again to see things you missed. For example, when Lightning gets bonked on the head at the end, there is a Chinese symbol in the last bit of lightning before it disappears. It's the symbol for Carpenter. A bigger piece of trivia is that the scene at the beginning of Egg Shen in the lawyer's office was written later. Studio execs wanted to make it clear that Jack is a hero (even though one of the main points of the movie is to subvert the expectation that the white guy is the hero and the Asian guy is the sidekick). Instead of hearing Egg talk about how we're in Jack Burton's debt, we were supposed to begin with Jack big upping himself on the CB radio as he drives to San Francisco. This is kind of the Firefly of 80s movies. Just like with Firefly, Fox execs didn't get it, and didn't promote it well at all. The test screenings were apparently fantastic, but the movie only made back about half of its budget because Fox screwed up the marketing. I know I said I wasn't going to throw all the facts at you, but that is seriously a drop in the bucket compared to what's on IMDb. Great reaction as always. This is probably my favorite movie to watch when I want some fun, low stakes action and comedy. I also quote it a ton (mostly Indeed! and This really pisses me off to no end! from when old man Lo Pan meets them). Hope you enjoyed it!

There must be loads of easter eggs or hidden gems. Thanks. I'll check out imdb. Oh yeh. great point on it being the firefly of the 80s.
