Part of what I love about this movie is that it is somehow taking place simultaneously in 932 AD and in present times, and things that happen in both times interact. Also the way it just stops (and of course, we got massive credits at the start). I would love to see you react to their first movie, And Now For Something Completely Different. Nobody has yet reacted to it online, maybe because its streaming availability seems to be different from their other titles. But it's very much worth seeing, to experience what the troupe was about. It's a compilation of the most famous sketches from their TV series (many of them reshot for the big screen), with no overall narrative link. Several of the lines have become classic, and you're likely to recognize them even if you didn't know the context. This reaction was a great experience! Thank you, and I hope you continue.

This movie is a lot like their television series; basically a series of sketches. The main difference is the theme remains the same. The real jewel in their cinematic crown is Life of Brian which I heartily recommend you watch. The best treatise on the absurdity of religious dogma ever created. Can't believe Fawlty Towers is a right of passage but the original Monty Python series isn't. That show had a major impact on an entire generation of comics and played a major part in rewriting the rules of sketch comedy. If you want to see more Palin I recommend A Fish Called Wanda; written by and co-starring Cleese. Also starring Jaime Lee Curtis and Kevin Kline. A very funny film.

Life of Brian and a Fish Called Wanda are on our list, Life of Brian seems to be the more popular out of the movies that they have done. With Fawlty we think it just won more people over maybe it was more relatable than the Monty series

Looking at it now it feels like it was a group of friends jus dressing up and going on an adventure in modern times 🤣 There was a movie before this, we thought it was just This, Life of Brian and The Meaning of life, but we will check it out.
