Odette Annable, lordie lordie lordie lordie.... Alrighty, good catch on the object falling into the water but it was not the monster. It was actually a Japanese science satellite called ChimpanzIII. It's not really in the main movie but part of (and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong) of a viral marketing campaign (dubbed the Cloverfield ARG, as in Alternate Reality Game). A series of events from before and after the movie that expand upon the story. According to film producer J.J. Abrams, the creature is officially "...a baby. He's brand-new. He's confused, disoriented and irritable. And he's been down there in the water for thousands and thousands of years". To be honest the whole thing always did feel a bit odd. If you really want to dig into it google the supposed owners of that satellite you saw crash into the ocean at the end called 'Tagruato'. I can't even begin to explain it properly here :)

🤣 she is stunning Oh really, that's interesting as there isn't a mention of it in the movie right? That thing is a baby 👀 dam we don't want to see that full size, but that makes sense that is has emerged and confused about where it is and why people are attacking it.
