How to Fix Cut-Off Mountains & Height Limit Issues on Maps ποΈπ οΈ (Patreon)

Since some of my maps are incredibly massive and use a datapack to push the maximum height limit up to 1024/2032, standard server limits will just chop the top of the world off if they aren't adjusted first.
If you are experiencing this, here is a quick guide on how to fix it: π
β Check Your Version: Make sure you are running the correct Minecraft version for the map (usually 1.21+ for these newer, massive ones).
βοΈ Server Settings: If you are running a server, open your server.properties file and make sure the max-build-height is set to 512, 1024 (or 2032). π₯οΈ
π¦ Update the Datapack (For 1.21.11+ / 26.1+): If your game has a glitch where the sky stays dark during the daytime, your datapack needs an update. Open the map's datapacks folder, delete the old worldpainter.zip, and replace it with the updated version provided here on Patreon. βοΈβ‘οΈYou can download the Datapacks clicking here
π Multiverse Plugin (If you use it): Multiverse actually has its own built-in height limit. Go to your plugins folder, open Multiverse-Core, and find the worlds.yml file. Look for the name of the map you uploaded, change its height value to 512, 1024 (or 2032), and run /mv reload in the console. π
β οΈ Upload a Fresh Copy (The most important step!): If you already loaded into the map and saw the cut-off mountains, the server has already saved those chunks exactly like that. π« To fix it, you have to apply the settings above, delete the map folder from your server, and upload a fresh, untouched copy. πβ¨
