A fun little thought I had and I wanted to do it, I have been in perhaps the most brutal art slump that I have been in a long time and hopefully this is was the shot I needed to get going again!

Here is the uncompressed Timeline text I wrote for this little project.

Refraction Post Intelligence Age and the Kiber-Tvar.

-Digiphrenia: The first signs of a Kiber-Tvar incursion, they spread a disruptive signal that interferes with Digital systems. Causing them to malfunction and produce strange and unexpected errors. A lot is still not understood about Digiphrenia, as it is able to interfere with digital technology observing affected areas from afar. The strength of Digiphrenia seems limited to the Troposphere. 

3-2-2023, A strange iridescent flash is seen deep within central Ukraine, it is speculated by both sides to be experimental technology, either of American/NATO origin or Russian. 

7-2-2023, several technical issues are experienced by Ukrainian and Russian forces in the Donbas. 

10-2-2023, Ukraine forces report strange happenings on the Donbas front, these are largely waved away. Around this time Russians begin reporting similar oddities

12-2-2023, technical issues are experienced within the Zaporizhia and Kherson frontlines, American Satellites begin to experience strange artifacting when surveying areas around the frontline, specifically noted a region in which the strange iridescent light was reported is completely distorted. This is immediately looked into.

21-2-2023, both Ukrainian and Russian officials begin to look into frontline Reports of strange apparitions and the sudden disappearance of bodies across several locations.

25-2-2023, American intelligence assets within Ukraine would launch an investigation into these sudden disappearances as well as to the possible connection to satellite malfunction. 

14-3-2023, Ukraine and Russia would both come to acknowledge the oddities of the prior month, blaming one another for the use of biological weapons and powerful jammers. 

21-3-2023, leaked low quality footage from Ukraine would reach the internet, this footage would depict strange floating objects in the sky, and blurry bodies running across fields. It would be widely discredited due to the low quality of the footage, with some even claiming it was viral marketing for an upcoming film. Others pointed to the low quality and strangeness of it as proof of it being early AI generated video.

13-7-2023, American SOF's successfully recover the remains of a strange drone like creature, massive in size, with a pair of oddly human arms and numerous tentacles. It is referred to by Ukrainian forces as a Corpse Snatcher. It would be taken to Groom Lake for further examination by the recently formed ASRDA.

22-5-2024, President Biden passed away from health complications, prompting the clumsy and under prepared election campaign pivot to his Vice President.

6-11-2024, The Presidential race is called for Republican candidate Donald Trump. He is promptly informed of the worsening situation in Ukraine.

10-11-2024, The Ukrainian defensive line around Kyiv, breaking the organization of the Ukraine armed forces, millions would attempt to flee from the incoming Kiber-Tvar, the once iron shut western borders now fully opened. 

13-12-2024, NATO forces move to fortify the countries surrounding Ukraine and Belarus. Satellite imaging struggles to capture any images or data from Ukraine, southern Belarus and bordering Russia.

21-1-2025, Belarusian attempt to flee both westward and eastward, these refugees claim that much of their nation had been overrun by the grotesque undead machine men.

28-1-2025, Strange sightings are reported within Lithuanian's border with Belarus. Technological malfunctions are reported all along the Eastern defensive line. 

4-2-2025, President Donald Trump attempts to negotiate the acquisition of Greenland from Denmark. It is unsuccessful. 

17-6-2025, Vladimir Putin is reportedly assassinated by his staff, the Russian Government being overthrown by a military junta. The mass exodus of western Russians across the Ural Mountains continues as the Kiber-Tvar approach the Moscow Defensive line. 

20-7-2026, The World Cup is held within North America, hosted jointly between Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Despite the ongoing global crisis in Eastern Europe, many enjoy the festivities of the World Cup. 

26-7-2026, NATO Operation Hussar fails, the attempts to relieve the city of Warsaw from the Kiber-Tvar results in a disastrous failure. The Kiber-Tvar would launch a massive offensive against the precarious Eastern Defensive Line, breaking though several points, flooding into Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, further pushing into Poland.

5-8-2026, The World Cup concludes with the victory of the English National team. 

21-3-2027, The fall of the East Germany Defensive Line, NATO initiates Operation Feuersturm, a massive firebombing campaign across the collapsing frontline. In a desperate attempt to buy retreating NATO and German Civilians time to withdraw to the Rhine Defensive Line.

2-5-2027, preparations for Operation Mayflower are completed, the United Kingdom collapses their side of the Channel Tunnel. NATO holds the Kiber-Tvar at by thanks to operation Feuersturm.

5-7-2027, Operation Mayflower commenced, despite speculation of Kiber-Tvar navel attacks, none are reported, calming many that speculated that they had been preparing and developing such a force.

18-7-2027, Cosmos Industries (a company with ties to ASRDA) and NASA continue to successfully operate the International Space Station, its continued surveillance role vital to counter Kiber-Tvar operations.

13-6-2028, American researchers make the first steps in understanding the Kiber-Tvar Machinery. Although extremely limited, it is an important step. 

15-11-2028, the United States holds its presidential election, The Newly Formed HP (Homefront party) Presidential candidate Francis D. Hope narrowly wins the election. On a platform self described as the Sheltered Star doctrine.

8-2-2029, The First Battle of the English Channel is fought between American/United Kingdom Forces, against the Kiber-Tvar. The crude bio-rafts are obliterated successfully by the joint forces.

21-3-2029, the first partially intact Engel body is retrieved from by the SOF team of Operation Scrambler. It is transported to the Southampton Base Camp in England. There it would be examined by researchers from ASRDA (American Special Research and Development Agency).

27-3-2029, American SOF's are able to make contact with resistance cells within Germany, shortwave radio frequencies.

28-3-2029, Kiber-Tvar forces began bombarding with their Corpse Pilers across the Dover Straits, coastal defenses successfully intercept most of the incoming volley. This would go on to continue periodically for the following two months.

12-4-2029, China claims to have successfully destroyed a Kiber-Tvar Factory near the Almaty Region of Kazakhstan. Via the use of a new Anti-Kiber-Tvar weapon, Surveillance pictures confirmed the seeming destruction of a partially built Factory, although as to how they accomplished this is a mystery to the outside world. 

13-4-2029, Kiber-Tvar forces breach the Bosphorus Defensive zone one. NATO, Israeli, and UN Forces fight a two week long battle against the Kiber-Tvar, ultimately at a great cost they are able to repeal them. Marking another momentous victory for mankind as a whole.

20-4-2029, American satellites detect a nuclear detention Taklamakan Desert, Chinese authorities do not mention this.

28-4-2029, Operation Mayflower is successful, approximately 77 Million refugees and civilians are successfully transported from the UK to North and South America, in an Operation that took well over 4 months and an unprecedented fleet of Civilian, Commercial and Military vessels.

1-5-2029, ASRDA researchers are able to learn a lot about the biological composition of an Engle, highly classified, the enlarged cranium and elongated serpentine neck of the Engle shares a lot of similarities to that of a human. This has left researchers with more questions than answers and unfortunately it would seem that only through the capture of a live specimen

would they be able to learn more?

5-5-2029, Kiber-Tvar forces continue their advance on central asia and Siberia. Several Kiber-Tvar attacks are reported near the Pyrenees Defensive line, NATO prepares for a possible attack from the Kiber-Tvar.

12-5-2029, The United States hosts the Olympic games, as an attempt to bring back some international morale. Refugees are encouraged to represent their nations. Even China and Russia send over Olympic athletes. It is a lavish celebration, one that is broadcast throughout the world via satellite and older analog methods where needed.

18-5-2029, currently residing in Canada, The British Royal Family is reported to have welcomed into the world the fastest member of their family, a baby, princess Elizabeth. It is something that sparks a sense of yearning for the homeland amongst the English in the Americas.

23-5-2029, Operation Defiant, an American SOF mission deep within Germany. Aim of the operation is to reach out to all resistance groups within Germany, in hopes of constructing a network within occupied Kiber-Tvar territories. 

6-6-2029, The Summer Gaming Expo is held in Los Angeles, many anticipated games are announced and given release dates.

8-6-2029, The bombardment across the Dover Straits halt without warning, surveillance planes notice the sudden appearance of bigger Corpse Pilers named “Corpse Rainers”. The Anglo-American Coalition bombards these strange new constructs, via high altitude bombers.

27-7-2029, Cosmos Industries in collaboration with NASA successfully launched the first manned mission to the moon since Apollo 17. Although not publicly broadcasted, the true nature of the mission was to establish the ground works for Lunar Base via the testing of prototype mechanized suits.

8-8-2029, Cosmos Industries in collaboration with NASA deployed the first Rain Suits, 12ft tall mechanized bodysuit. Capable of facilitating workloads tremendously named after their inventor Dr. Rain. With them they manage to further expand the foundations of the Moon Base, at a brisker pace than expected, now cristaned New America. 

-Rain Suits use a newly developed connection system, known as a Cord system, in which through surgical means, an individual is able to connect directly to a machine's systems and run them as if they were the central operating system. The surgery is highly invasive and has only been done sparingly up to now. Dr. Rain, having worked for ASRDA and knowing of Digiphrenia, saw to future proof the Rain Suits, by moving away from any digital systems, instead believing that the human brain could step in and far surpass any machine.

30-8-2029, The Pyrenees Defensive Line crumbles, NATO forces begin another protracted and brutal Defensive Withdrawal from the Iberian Peninsula.

2-9-2029, The Kiber-Tvar Corpse Rainers began their bombardment campaign against the southern reaches of England, defenses intercepted most of the volley, unfortunately the ones that hit would reveal their payloads of swarms of Corpse Thralls and other horrendous creatures. The Anglo-American response succeeded in clearing nearly all these pests.

3-9-2029, president Francis D. Hope enacted the Guarantee Act, a governmental program that would fast track any refugee that Volunteered for the Armed Forces an American Citizenship. As the US had not only taken in the refugees from the UK, but many other Europeans fleeing in the intervening years. As the motto went “The American Armed Forces, Built American Values, Morales, and Grit.” Optionally there was also the Merit Act, which saw to quickly integrate all refugees into the workforce as soon as possible.

13-12-2029, American SOF succeeded in capturing a live Engle specimen, during Operation Red Winter, an operation that entailed provoking Kiber-Tvar forces into attacking several Russian garrisons on the Siberian Front. In the ensuing chaos the SOF teams managed to capture the Engel within a specialized containment cage developed by ASRDA, known as a Sarcophagus.

1-1-2030, The Russian state in Eastern Siberia falls due to internal instability, many Russian civilians flee further East towards the Kamchatka Peninsula. 

15-5-2030, The Kiber-Tvar breach into India, countless attempts to flee the western provinces, the Indian government attempts to hold off the Kiber-Tvar advance by replicating the Radiant Wall strategy used by China and NATO. Strategically detonating Nuclear warheads across the Thar Desert.

27-7-2030, India is largely overrun by the Kiber-Tvar, controversially the Indian government launches a final campaign of fire bombings against the Kiber-Tvar, but also targeting large groups of civilians. On the border of the neighboring Myanmar, PLA forces amass alongside the local army.

30-7-2030, Indian completely collapses to the Kiber-Tvar, The PLA deployed their secret weapon, as the border crisis in Myanmar worsened. The Black Dragon, a large serpentine-like creature, clearly of Kiber-Tvar construction. 

-The Black Dragon was a Corpse Burrower retrieved by the Chinese, as it would be revealed the Black Dragon was controlled via a crude grafting several humans into the cerebral tissue of the massive biomechanical horror. Through this method of rudimentary Wet-Drive/Cord manipulation, the Chinese were able to control the massive Kiber-Tvar.

2-3-2031, ASRDA researchers developed the first mass-produced Cognition Dampeners, a technology that allows infantry to withstand the bizarre psychological effects that the Kiber-Tvar emits. 

6-5-2032, ASRDA Researchers make a breakthrough on Anti-Digiphrenia countermeasures. Through the use of wet-ware technology, machines and computers using said technology are shown to be highly resistant to the effects of Digiphrenia. This however is proven to be highly controversial, setting off a series of debates on the ethics behind using wet-ware.

18-7-2032, ASRDA researchers continued experimentation with the living Engel, producing further breakthroughs in understanding the Kiber-Tvar, yet more importantly the concept of the Pale and the Noosphere. It is speculated that these creatures originated from somewhere within this immaterial reality. 

6-6-2033,The Five Proposals, part of a proposed series of Radical plans to either win the war against the Kiber-Tvar or ensure the continued existence of mankind, the United States, alongside the remaining nations of the world hold a summit to discuss these Proposals.

-With the current state of the world it was agreed that all Nations would cooperate towards the shared goal of halting the Kiber-Tvar advance, this coordinated defensive effort would be done in other to buy the following proposals time, and if possible to discover for effective ways of combating the Kiber-Tvar. 

-Proposal One, the joint research venture into the development of “Cognition” based assets. With the discoveries made by ASRDA, it has become clear that mankind is capable of harnessing these powers. This joint endeavor will see if it is possible to turn the tide of war through augmented soldiers.

-Proposal Two, The integration of Wet-Drive technologies into existing and developing military assets. Wet-Drive based prototypes have proven to be effective against the Kiber-Tvar, humanity will have to stomach the sourcing of these valuable assets, until synthetic methods can be developed at a large enough quantity. This will allow for the eventual reintroduction of advanced military assets.

-Proposal Three, The further expansion of the Lunar Base New America, and with it the construction of the Lunar Gravity Gun, a super weapon that could prove massively effective against the Kiber-Tvar, with the added bonus of no Radiation.

-Proposal Four, The Construction of Several Generation Ships, as a final contingency, if the need ever arises to evacuate what is left of the human species.  

-Proposal Five, exploration into The Pale, little is known as of yet as to what this immaterial reality is, but exploration into it could prove valuable and could provide unexpected opportunities against the Kiber-Tvar. 

1-8-2033, Americans begin to upgrade various platforms with Wet-drive technology. 

3-7-2036, The Chinese are finally pushed off their Mainland Holdings by the Kiber-Tvar. With their last bastions holding in the occupied North Korea, fears mount in South Korea as to the inevitable Kiber-Tvar attack on their nation. 

12-8-2036, The Kiber-Tvar broke through the Southern England defensive line in a coordinated attack, initially bombarding the coast via Pilers and Rainers; this served as a distraction for the massive burrowing transport that emerged from various spots. The battle for the South of England would be hard for the Kiber-Tvar, as it had been prepared with various layers of defense in depth.

28-8-2036, The Battle of London commences, American and British forces fight desperately to stop the flow of Kiber-Tvar, main objective is to buy the civilian population enough time to flee northwards.

1-9-2036, London falls to the Kiber-Tvar, plans to fire bomb the city are deliberated but ultimately postponed, as the promised arrival of a Wet-Drive upgrade Armor, jets, and weaponry reaches command. They will have to dig in on the Umbra line until reinforcements arrive. The Kiber-Tvar advance predictably slows as the first stages of construction begin of a massive Factory within the ruins of London.

12-10-2036, First Squadrons of Heavy Rain Suits are deployed to assist in Operation Montgomery. An American led attempt to destroy a Factory being built in the ruins of London. With the support from F-15 WDs (Wet-Drive fitted) and the newly  deployed Heavy Rain Suits, The Operation is successful. With the destruction of the incomplete tower, the Kiber-Tvar forces in southern England are pushed back. 

12-11-2036, Southern England is considered cleared from Kiber-Tvar presences, marking the first time humanity has taken land back from the Kiber-Tvar. 

2040, Cosmos Industries and NASA successfully deployed the first Necronaut Team into The Pale.
