> About how games will be distributed (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone!
As I said in the previous post, I'll be making changes to the way the games are published.
Starting today, I'll be implementing a new distribution system for my projects.
During development, games will be accessible exclusively through itch.io for Silver-tier members and above.
Demo versions of all games will continue to be available for free on both Newgrounds and itch.io, allowing anyone to try them before deciding whether they'd like to support the project or purchase the full game.
While a game is still in development, it will only be playable through itch.io until the save system is robust enough and there is no possibility of conflicts between versions.
Once a game's development is finished and it is officially released, Silver-tier members and above will be able to download the game files. This access will remain available until the first stable release of the next game currently in development.
When the next game reaches its first release beyond the demo stage, the previous title will no longer be included as a Patreon reward and will instead become available exclusively as an individual purchase on itch.io.
If you previously obtained one of the games through Patreon member access on itch.io, you should still be able to access the game files even after that title is removed from the rewards. That said, I recommend adding it to a collection so it's always easy to find.
> Under this new system:
• That Pervert will no longer be available to new patrons. If you previously obtained That Pervert through Patreon member access, you should still be able to access the game files.
• Bus Voyeur will remain available to Silver-tier patrons and above until the first stable release of Janken POP!.
• After Janken POP! is released, Bus Voyeur will become available exclusively as a separate purchase on itch.io.
This approach will allow the patron catalog to refresh with each new release, giving supporters access to the most recent projects while older titles become part of the regular commercial catalog.
Well, that's all for now.
Thanks a lot for your support!
See you in the next post!
