A Much-Needed Break From Everything (Patreon)

For the past couple of days, I've had the house entirely to myself, and will continue to for the next week and a half or so. The fact that I will not be interrupted if I sit down to draw hasn't set in, yet. I'm even starting to worry that two weeks may not be nearly enough time to undo several years of damage...

I do have an image in progress, but I may not post it here. It's a gift for my niece & nephew, that I'd originally hoped to have finished a week ago. There are certainly other ideas that I can work on, but those will have to wait until after this one is finished.

Previously I'd talked about my recent obsession with the film Metamorphoses/Winds of Change, but, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words -

I even ended up buying two-multi-format VCRs, to attempt to capture the French tapes -

 The first of these was the Sony, which was sold as partially working, but that changed to "broken" shortly after I'd tested it. I've since gotten it working again, but I'm not going to trust it with either of those tapes unless I have no other choice.

With the Samsung VCR, I knew before I'd bought it that it would need to be repaired, and a few Youtube videos had me convinced that I could do just that. I did manage to find a faulty voltage regulator, and have some replacements on the way. Hopefully that's all that's needed to get it working, but until I find out, consider me distracted.
