Where do I even begin, with this film? I'm tempted to make a video on its history, and the lengths (and expense) I've gone to so far to preserve it, but the main thing is that it's a rare film that I enjoyed as a kid.

This particular version, from France, might be the rarest, because it's the only one that kept (most) of the original's widescreen presentation. It's far from perfect, though - there's some odd distortion on the left side, and the color is very noisy. Thanks to a quirk with the SECAM format, I'm able to also capture the video without any color, allowing me to extract the color and clean it up somewhat. That and the distortion will take time to fix, however.

Eventually I also want to combine this with the American & Japanese versions. Because of how different the cropping is in each version, for some shots this will expand the frame further, and the Japanese version has bits that the French and American versions do not.
