Spooky Season Prep (Patreon)

There's a Halloween comic I'd put for the past couple of years or more, and I'd decided that it was finally time to work on it! And then I had some new ideas.

Even before this sequence popped into my head, getting the entire comic done in time was unlikely - out of 7 pages, I'm hoping to have 2 done in time for Halloween. Whether the rest get fully inked & colored or released in sketch form, I haven't decided yet.

As I type this, I'm enjoying something I haven't had much of in nearly 5 months - quiet. No children running around the house, screaming. No needy dogs using the same signal for "pet me", "feed me", "let me outside", and "go night-night". No elderly dog barking randomly at nothing. No chores, no favors, no appointments, no road trips (until Tuesday). It would almost be perfect working conditions, if most of my gear weren't packed away, and if I had a proper work space at my current location.

On Tuesday, I'll be driving home to Florida. Normally I'm only in Michigan from June to the second week of September. This year I've been up since the end of April, for reasons that ended up not going as planned. After three months, I go home feeling like I need a vacation. After five... I don't have the words.
