Fun fact: the joke about animation for tv shows at the start of the episode is a reference to a similar joke in the comics where the artist of the Science Dog comic (Seance Dog in the show) talks about reusing panels to fill space in a comic. That explanation is then followed up by two repeating empty panels of Mark and a third repeating panel of him saying "Don't you think that's kind of lazy?" and then another two repeating panels of the artist and a third with him saying "Not really."
