Hey all,

We will be filming the season 2 finale of Invincible very soon and at the end of the reaction we wanted to do a Q&A! Please write your questions in the comments of this post down below and we will try our best to answer them. You can ask us anything spoiler wise up to the end of season 2, but please avoid spoiling season 3 and 4!

Who is your hear me out of the invincible world? Dare I say, mines Cecil. He can order me around anyday. 😅

Victor / Gooric

Do you prefer Amber, Eve or someone else, for Mark?

Tea_Time_480

Have any of you read the comic? I highly recommend it mainly because I feel that the show really poorly adapted Mark’s character. He’s so much more fun and compelling in the comic.

RogueDrone

Do you believe Nolan at the end saying he misses his wife.

Ray

who are all of your favorite and least favorite characters/arcs as of now? love your videos 👏

Joe

How do you feel about the reveal that certain characters weren’t actually killed in the fight with Lizard League? Are you relieved that they are alive or does it cheapen the experience of “deaths” in the show? Thanks for the fun reactions and looking forward to season 3!

Elijah Macias

How do you think the experience with Angstrom Levy will affect Mark as a hero and as a person from here on out?

Dee

Do y’all think mark was justified in what he did? If I’m in his shoes and same thing happened to my mom, I’m seeing red so I don’t blame him at all. Also mark is always holding back subconsciously, he’s not as strong as Nolan but still much stronger than he shows. Season 3 is so good can’t wait. Also Molly lock in pls lol

Ethan

Not a question because everyone has summed up everything I would've said, however, I've been watching you three since the beginning of the Walking Dead reactions, I feel disgustingly old watching you considering I was 17 when you started, and now I'm 26, only thing I'm wondering is if Molly is still traumatized by Dale.

chefboyarkey

Which show has better music Arcane or Invincible

Shoelace Ace

What would it take for you to forgive Nolan and do you think Debbie and/or Cecil could possibly ever forgive him?

Cohlton

Who would win a fight, Invincible or Homelander?

SWTobito

As someone who has read the comic I oughta interject. If we're talking up until the events of season 2, Mark is technically more lighthearted, but that's in large part because the comic at that point wasn't as concerned with showing how the stuff Mark experienced affected him. Up until Angstrom most things didn't really affect Mark whatsoever in the comics. Even Chicago, which is meant to be this huge turning point in both the show and comic is barely even acknowledged further into the comic, least of all by Mark. The comic was really only starting to find its footing during those first 48 issues and it shows. I still love it, cause the classic superhero adventures of the early comic are absolutely my jam, but the show definitely improved on Mark's character writing.

Tea_Time_480

I completely disagree. I just reread the comic within the past few weeks and Mark is absolutely affected by plenty of things in life. And the problem with mark in the show is not that he’s more lighthearted in the comic. It’s that the show completely stripped him of the fact that he’s a superhero comic fan that becomes a superhero. Meaning he actually enjoys being a hero and takes solace in it. And is really good at it for a while. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t make mistakes. But mark is practically a different character in the show. He’s only the same on a superficial level. How he carries himself as a character/hero. What motivated him to be one beyond his dad. His capabilities, his attitude, almost all of it is very different. I honestly hate the show because I really can’t stand how Mark is written in it. And I’m totally fine with changing things in adaptations. But almost nothing about what made mark a fun and compelling character in comic had been preserved in the show. Mark whines about every single thing that happens to him in the show. There are so many moments that show him to be a character that is actively annoyed by the fact that he’s a superhero protagonist. He almost quits before he even fights his dad.

SWTobito

Angstrom Levy had previously stated in the season 2 premiere that Mark joined Nolan and conquered the planet in most other realities. Having seen some examples of those other realities now, what do ya'll think about the fact that our Mark seems to be such an outlier? Do you think Mark's more violent tendencies, which we saw on display when he brutally beat Angstrom to death, are part of the reason why he turns evil in most realities?

Joshua delrey

My question is If he’s invincible, how come i can see him….??

Gabriel E. Ortiz Velazquez

Out of every character, who's death do you think would hurt you the most, assuming it actually happened?

SWTobito

But that's exactly my point. Superheroing is related to basically all the trauma Mark has experienced so far in his life. The idea that this wouldn't affect his views on being superhero is just not at all feasible. Show Mark was also absolutely elated to be a superhero but as Robot said, he wasn't prepared for the brutal reality of it. A brutal reality which barely affects Mark for most of the early comic run. Again, Chicago is barely a topic in the comics after issue 13. I think it's alot more compelling for Mark to actually respond to all that by initially wanting to quit but then still going on to be a hero after Chicago cause he feels it's the right thing for him to do.

Tea_Time_480

Of course it would affect it but mark questioning being invincible doesn’t happen till much later in the comic after going through a lot. And within the first twenty issues, mark talks about how being a superhero makes him feel better and feels like a reprieve from his feelings about his dad. What you’re describing makes sense and all on a technical level, but it’s just a different character. That ain’t mark. And mark does face the brutal reality of being a hero in plenty of ways in the comic but it feels more organic and way less him whining about it all the time. Mark doesn’t even bleed until his fight with his dad and one two punch of that happening along with his dad being the one to do it impacts him plenty. Yes, how mark responds to being a hero in the show makes sense on a technical level. But it’s also just a different character. I find it more compelling that mark actually wants to be a hero because that’s who the character is in the comic. He’s a superhero fan who gets to be a superhero. Mark has a whole scene in the comic where he talks about him being a hero isn’t because he’s trying to make up for his dad’s sins or whatever. He does it because it’s what he wants to do. Mark’s reaction to continue being a superhero after initially deciding to quit is demonstrates that he only does it out of burden. Which is why he’s constantly annoyed or whiney whenever he actually has superhero things he needs to do. Seriously, compare almost any time from the comic when mark has to do something as invincible to the show. 99 percent of the time his arm needs to be twisted like crazy to get his ass in gear. And Chicago was a lot less gratuitous and over the top in the comic then it was in the show and I really don’t get this idea that isn’t brought up or doesn’t affect mark as a hero. It affects him plenty, just not in the same way the show does. Comic mark gradually has to deal with the struggles of being a superhero more and more. The show version does the same except the inciting incident for that isn’t his dad fighting him. It’s being terrible in the field at almost every turn. When mark gets his ass kicked by machine head’s gang, he’s banged up but he takes in stride. Because he’s not only invincible because of responsibility. He actually likes being invincible. And takes it way more seriously than he does in the show.

You guys mentioned Cecil has made some dubious calls in the 2x07 reaction. I'm just curious if you could elaborate on that as well as your thoughts on his character. I personally consider him quite pragmatic and he does well to leave emotion out of his job to keep the world safe. The only questionable thing he's really tried to do was get his hands on Oliver but I can see why he'd want to keep tabs on him in a controlled environment.

Shakes

For the comments! Get off Mollys back, she on her phone or w/e, but she listening and understanding the show very well. Who is your guys favorite character so far? Thanks for the reactions!😃

Michael

Waffles or pancakes

The Answer

why do you hate Amber?

The Answer

Season 4 starts March 18 will you catch up in time?

Joe

Now that we’ve seen Mark snap how to you think this will affect him going forward? Do you think it will push him more towards holding back or towards letting his violent side out more often? Would love to hear your opinions on both of these potential routes as I think both have negatives and positives

Benjamin

would you guys ever go to a comic con or comic convention where invincible had a booth

Alvin Everett

Do you think Oliver will have the same feelings Mark & Debbie have about Nolan because of his actions?

dorkgrayson

What has been the most shocking moment for you in the show so far?

WeskerChild

Notice me senpai Molly 🥺 For real though, are you back on team Nolan again or still against him?

Darknite

Who’s got the best/worst superhero outfit in the show?

Darknite

Is Eve and Mark the greatest superhero ship and why is it yes

Ryan Lenzy

Who’s you guys favorite characters now that season 2 is over? Great reactions by the way

Vibes77

Do you guys genuinely believe that Nolan didn’t care about Debbie? If so why

Alan Derossi

In episode 4 when Mark meets the Thraxans and gets told their lifespan is about 1 human year, this to Mark is really weird and sees it as a very short life, to which Andressa (Oliver's mother) says "it never seemed short to me". This is supposed to mirror Nolan's feeling for humans, since he lives thousands of years and humans not even a single century. Just like we don't care about the a fly living one day or two. What do you think about this, what is your perspective and do you think Mark's perspective on his father has changed?

rikky maravilla

If you can make a superhero or villian roster of just 4 people to fight the viltrumites that have been sent or seen so far in the show who are you choosing?

Adrian Franco

What did you guys think of Mark being pushed to the edge and finally having to kill one of his villains instead of capturing or jailing them? Another question what do you think of Mark being more and more pushed to see things like Viltrumites, like with his brothers short lifespan, or that some lives have more value than other and some people should be killed like Angstrom Levy.

Matt M

Why do you think the viltrumites let mark live and give him his father mission instead of replacing him with an agent they know they can trust and will actually get it done?

Joaquin garcia

Do you think that another viltrumite will change sides like Thadeus?

To Molly: What was your favourite thing you did on your phone while Invincible played in the background?
