decompress a fresh install, copy only the videos subfolder from my mod and copy the new .rpyc file I shared here
I should only have used a .rpyc file which is already compiled
I did it and I still got that error
it just doesn’t make sense, the game find duplicate script files while the containing subfolder is deleted, and looks like @blank1 has resolved the issue
do you know how to fix the TypeError: ‘bool’ object is not callable ive been getting this error on every renpy game i play now
im getting the phone order bug and the gofile fix is no longer available

Hi, so i’ve been having this issue when i open the phone with the 4K mod installed i noticed there are 2 script files attached to it and when deleting them it seems to have worked since i don’t get the error anymore, it seems it’s one of the scripts that cause the issue, hope it helps.

hi i want to play life in santa county but i need it updated to the last version the mod 4k it is in 8 version, help i am having a couple of problems and a message said image not found
I had the same issue the first time i’ve launched the game, but it fixed itself the second time
also, you can try to delete videos.rpa into the “game” folder
it’s a dedicated chat for Midnight paradise troubleshooting but I plan to update this mod at some point
oh okay, i just deleted the line of code that was causing this, but i just wanted to check out with you just in case, it did work, but better safe than sorry, thanks!
did you remove the line that check duplicated images ?
it may be a great idea but i’m afraid it could cause issues at some point in the game. I’ll appreciate if you could do a playthrough with your modified code and give me some feedback
for those having issues when starting the game, try to copy this file in the folder “...\MidnightParadise-0.26-pc-elite\game\scripts\” and confirm overwrite

yeah that’s the line of code i deleted, it worked, but i didn’t play the game from the last time i played on version 0.25 was waiting for your response before proceeding, but you were right the second time i booted the game it worked just re-pasted the script file from the mod folder, renpy sometimes freaky like that.
i may try to see if it works, but later since i won’t be playing the game anytime soon, i’m either going to wait for the 1.0 updated that’s coming this year or i’m going to play the game in 2 days after today when i’m off work.
Also, feel free to give some feedback regarding video performance in-game (stuttering, freezing, crashes…)
