Yes, the openings technically have spoilers, but nobody catches them during their first watchthrough. You should watch them because they set the mood for the season and are just great in general. 1:24:58 Probably abnormals got them. I don't think anybody killed the chompy that bit Eren's leg off. Here's my 2 cents on SUB vs DUB. Note: I have watched the Anime several times both on SUB (more than 5x) and DUB (around 2x). SUB is objectively better as the Japanese voice actors are on different level. Japanese VAs (Seiyuu) are treated like celebrities in Japan due to the sophisticated level of their work in the Anime industry. I do want to give props to the DUB voice actors as well since they do a good job of replicating the same feelings of stand out moments in English language. However, I would still prefer to watch SUB several times over DUB. But at the end of the day, IT IS YOUR PREFERENCE on how you want to watch a show. AOT is still a masterpiece if you watch it in DUB. Separately, here's my 2 cents on watching the Openings or not. Yes, some (not all) openings have spoilers, but why did the creators added them in the first place? Anime openings have this reputation of slightly if not majorly spoiling a pivotal moment in the show. I would agree that it can ruin some moments, but it is intended to show curiosity and thrill since Animes are released on a weekly schedule. The minor (if not major) spoilers in the opening will keep viewers intrigued and will keep them watching. However, if you are bingewatching AOT, it is recommended not to watch any Openings for a more raw viewing experience. I would recommend listening to the people on when you can watch the Opening of a season. For example, watching the 1st OP of Season 4 is recommended to be watched at the start since it doesn't have any spoilers, while the 2nd OP has major spoilers in it so it might be better not to watch it until you finish the season.

Bro if you don't like reading subtitles watch dub, you will probably understand the whole thing better anyways because sub is basically reading a book with pictures but when you understand the language and the subtitles you can be more immersed. Dub is pretty much just as good at sub too.

my take on the opening spoiler thing is this: the creators of the show intended for you to see the stuff in the opening. so i don’t think you should deliberately skip them. at the same time, they didn’t necessarily intend for you to pause the openings and analyze every frame. remember that anime just airs on TV in japan and the parts of the opening that just flash by for a sec are meant to just be seen for a sec so i don’t think you should skip the new openings. but i don’t think you should pause and try to analyze every little detail either. just let it ride and pick up what you pick up. also watch the ending themes too. they’re cool and i’d be interested to hear what you think of them. goated drops as always 😭🔥 i know i’m greedy but please watch this show twice a week bro it’s long af for one thing but also it’s SO PEAK BRO i swear it just keeps getting better. i’m so excited to see you get to certain parts. feels a little like i’m watching it again for the first time 🙏

I wish I could explain why Eren is a bit aggressive towards Mikasa. Guess you need to finish this show to understand it fully. Eren doesn't like being protected. You can tell that as a part of post traumatic response after his mom's death. But there is more to it. You will know soon and hopefully connect the dots

That's pretty much where I stand - I always wanted anime dubbed in English back when it was kind of a new thing in America... but all it took was a few cringe actors and I realized I enjoyed the sub a lot more. People get offended if you point it out, but bad acting is bad acting, and also sometimes some meaning is lost, character personalities are changed, etc. Even with the same lines, an awkward delivery changes the whole feel of them.

There's literally no reason to try to remember every character immediately, especially in this anime ... for reasons. You'll learn them through repetition if they're actually important. Especially if you're not used to such a variety of names, or Japanese names - makes it a lot harder, til you get used to hearing them. I'm sort of impressed they named so much of the side characters honestly. Not many anime would go that far.

Mikasa used to manhandle (and still can) Eren, when they are kids. Remember when she threw up against the wall like a ragdoll in the first few episodes? They just have that type of relationship. Eren just doesn't like to be babied, but he's definitely aggressive about it.
