zombiejr

is it bad i play all of verts videos in 2x speed bc of my shitty attentio….sorry i got lost in your eyes

piggle

verti it’s a trilogy, by the way, which are all absolutely peak, although they don’t compare to this, you need to react to the other 2, Weathering With You and Suzume in that order

piggle

sonion we’re gonna get the rest of the disaster trilogy

Smith

That garbage(ik it's peak) can go on pause for a min 😔

CINEMA!! I'm glad to see you enjoying this one!! Can't wait to experience it again with my GOAT! I'd say the theatre enhances this even further. It was my first anime film I watch on the big screen when it was first released (oh wtf it's been 10 years????) and the experience still stuck with me to this day.

Sasha

WOOOOO one of my fave movies

Schmunkem

Lol time to go down the rabbit hole, weathering with you, 5 cm per second, I want to eat your pancreas, etc.

Catmanmanson

VERTI I HUMBLY REQUEST YOU ADD "REDLINE" TO THE NEXT MOVIE POLL. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. Also I watched this on hella weed gummies in the theater and it was ultra peak

Schmunkem

Weathering with you next 🙏

JustJamel

Bros name is Brian😭✌🏾

dvir1212

Unc named brian

Ian

yo tell me why i resubscribed to the patreon just to see this reaction 💕 been waiting on this one

Tacosareneat

HOLY FUCK WHAT A SURPRISE. This is my favorite animated movie of all time. Currently at a work dinner & can't wait to get back & smoke a blunt & watch this 🤌🏽😩

Tacosareneat

No there's just 3 movies that are set in the same universe made by the same director. Without spoiling, there elements that connect the 3 movies

JOAQUIN ESTEBAN OLIVOS FUENTES

If you want to be a little more pleased about the ending a would recommend you to watch weathering with you (same universe)

LEYØ

This is a sign, you need to take your missis on a walk in a forest, the timing would be nice too, its good for mental health!

Michelle

W movie. W reaction!!

Aaron2k

He already did

Michelle

Please add parasite (movie) and parasite (anime) to your polls. Both are peak!!

Michelle

If you want a break from the tear jerker anime’s you should watch I Want to Eat Your Pancreas it’s a light hearted romance :)

jediah jones

Soo I don't regret paying for this yesterday, cuz he on a roll 🫪

TheGoobay

ITS A SNAKE - one of my favorite verti quotes now

Poyon Ponyo

I have heard so many good things about this one but haven't seen it yet. I can't wait till he gets to it!!

citricacidisbest

IMO Howl's Moving Castle and LOOK BACK are really good

Fooguwu

Who would have thought Your Name would have Verti stressed on the edge of his seat more than AoT or Death Note or anything else 😂 Bro needed that happy ending to go on living

Mateo Fountain

I saw suzume and had no idea it had anything to do with this movie, but it was a banger and looking back now I see the similar themes.

joy

its actually a thematic trilogy! the other two movies along with this one is part of whats called Makoto Shinkai's disaster trilogy, they're all thematically related to natural disasters in japan

piggle

the three don’t deal with the same people, but instead it’s a thematic trilogy, where they deal with the same themes and the same issues in all three.

Syjah

yes dude parasyte the maxim is FUCKING PEAAAK

joy

second on parasite (movie). absolute peak of a movie, definitely deserves all of its accolades

Rian Macintosh

You should put Spirited Away on the movie poll next another great anime movie

Jae Hoang

so happy you liked the movie. my fav movie bc of the story, music and watched it many times with bunch of friends. really hope it's still as good as i remembered. Edit: heres your million dollars

Ricky Spanish

The amount of times I've said "Bro, Verti just keep watching" is immeasurable

sean kim

brian the way i DROPPED my jaw for a good 20 seconds at 1:33:40 when you said 'if the last words of the movie is whats your name'. and something u MIGHTVE missed (idk if u js didnt say out loud and u did notice), she cut her hair because it felt like a 'breakup' as he basically rejected her indirectly

Ricky Spanish

BTW it was Mitsuha's dad who drove him to Itamori.

Sasha

“Hello? Blow her shit up!” Well…

TheGoobay

Bro's expression when the sharpie dropped LOL

sean kim

ppl who like bittersweet endings gotta be masochists or some shit bro

sean kim

also a good way to gauge how anything anime-related is rated, check 'myanimelist' its got millions of users and rates so dont worry abt it being skewed too much, cause IMDB, ppl review bomb every single anime. anything above a 9 on MyAnimeList is like a genuine masterpiece, 8+ is like amazing, 7 is like your average good anime, 6 is mid, 5 and below is basically trash on MAL since everything is a bit inflated.

Ricky Spanish

Weathering With You and Suzume go crazy. Taki and Mitsuha have a small cameo in Weathering.

Ricky Spanish

Taki and Mitsuha have a small part in Weathering With You, they're more like cameos.

piggle

holy spoilers delete this 😂🫰

NotScry

Please add Ghibli movies! Howls Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, ect. You will love them!

mazzyjay

watched this for the first time properly with u. W movie cool trying to figure out whats going on and then it all comes together by the end. Connected through time...

Kin

Out of the "big three" of these movies(Silent Voice, Your Name, and I want to eat your pancreas) I want to eat your pancreas is my favorite. So good that I bought the manga for it so im begging you to watch that next. Please and Thank you

Kin

Anthia Hernandez

Not the forest scene haunting you everywhere you go 😭

dee

LMAAAAOOOO yes verti this movie will fill ur heart with love

dee

PLEEAASEE ADD 'i want to eat your pancreas' to the polls

Schmunkem

Lol verti’s brain gets overwhelmed at 1:05:04

b1

There definitely are a few movies that are close to the same level as this movie, Weathering With You (Which i highly recommend) is one of those and it's part of Makoto Shinkai's trilogy (The same director as Your Name).

Maki

5CMPS would be great, but it’s sadly not as popular anymore as the others

Maki

Adding LOOK BACK after the Chainsaw Man movie would be peak.

Maki

Getting rejected by your soulmate and then exploding the day after has to be top 10 shitty ways to go lmao

mariacake

My fave feel good movie!! 👍

Bigpawpaw81

The fact you clocked the premise immediately is honestly impressive. I know people who didn't even understand what was going on until they blatantly say they are switching bodies

Cooper Flagg

I watched a silent voice and this for the first time with you. Your name is definitely better wow.

Momo Lilya

They show the boobs bouncing to show that he’s not wearing any bra. On god no cap trust me bro. 😂😂😂

I am HR

we gotta put vert into Erased chat

Momo Lilya

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya is one of my favourite anime movie of all time. Unfortunately, it is not a standalone and you wouldn't be able to appreciate it without watching the anime. The anime itself is also probably not to your liking so I would not be recommending it. It's just that if for whatever reason you somehow managed to sit through the show, the movie would be up there for one of the best.

Alex P

I can tell that you will love Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Alex P

Yeah, IMO two of the best ones out of this director are Your Name and 5cmps

ヤン

This is one of my favourite movies ever and I'm so glad you watched it! There's actually a deeper meaning to the whole Kataware-Doki (twilight) scenes connecting to japanese folklore. The reason Taki and Mitsuha lose their memories of each other after their twilight meeting is because in order for Taki to enter the shrine, which is the underworld, and undo the timelines to save Mitsuha, he was required to leave something of himself behind. The thing most precious and dear to him. That precious thing he left behind was their memories of each other. So when twilight ended and Taki and Mitsuha were sent back to their own timelines, their memories of each other immediately faded, and time and fate were undone to make way for a new one. But, by writing "I love you" on Mitsuha's hand instead of his name, the moon god protected their hearts. In Japanese folklore, the moon god protects all messages of love and is not bound by the laws of fate or time. So they forgot the experiences they went through with each other, their faces, and even their names, but not the feelings they had for that person. The love they had in their hearts remained there. Even though they could no longer remember who the person they loved was, they knew they loved someone, and that that person loved them too.

piexell

Patema Inverted would be great.

Ajin Kazama

harry potter and the half blood prince or I touch you, be reasonable

Ajin Kazama

show us the half blood prince reaction before I force you to react to my full blood prince

VSlash

420 holy peak

mariacake

I rewatched so many times and just thought what if that was Mitsuha’s dad.. bec for the first time I noticed his hand has a subtle angry 💢 vein while driving Taki and his friends to Itomori. Apparently it is him!

mariacake

Another good anime movie is “I want to eat your pancreas” 👍🏻

Deji Jan

we owe you 1M

pqxs

Now you NEED to watch weathering with you

Cornelius Arthur

1:33:48 - Congrats you have won a fucking, a meal of onions, and a dollar

Ricky Spanish

It is, it's subtle but you can tell

Cornelius Arthur

2:08:46 (excluding the 3 that you have already watched) : 1. chainsaw man movie 2. Spirited away 3. Howl’s moving Castle 4. Look back 5. Wolf Children 6. Graveyard of the Fireflies 7. Perfect Blue 8. I want to eat your pancreas 9. Weathering with you 10. Suzume

J

This movie so good had me skipping thru verts theories 😭

Aatto

Movie is coming to theaters the 14th. Would be a good date for you and your wife

Jane

Btw it is confirmed that’s a few years later after meeting each other again they get married 😍

Jane

Yessss Suzume is so good

Jane

The god the grandma mentioned protects messages of love, that’s why Taki was allowed to write ‘I love you’ but when Mitsuha was gonna write her name (since it’s not a message of love) the connection got broken

Jane

PETITION FOR VERTI TO REACT TO STUDIO GHIBLI MOVIES

Jane

I need him to go down the Studio Ghibli rabbit hole

Jane

I need him to go down the Studio Ghibli rabbit hole

Anthia Hernandez

This movie has had a chokehold on me since it came out in theatres in middle school 😭 I literally bought the DVD and everything just to watch it every fall like a tradition. It's been 10 years! This movie is actually playing in theaters on August 14th for it's 10 year anniversary. I highly recommend checking it out on the big screen

Kane

I need to see "I want to eat your pancreas" SOOO BAD.

Jonathan

you have to add Paprika

Calcifer

Love this movie, loved your reaction. The subtitles on this were pretty rough lol, constantly just cutting out dialouge in favor of translating text on-screen.

e1

cute

e1

fire bruh i already watched but 10 times better watching with verti

e1

Hassooun

Cornelius Arthur

C

HARRY POTTER 6 NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

C

Papa

Visiting those stairs at the end of the movie was one of my top priorities when visiting Japan last year. I did what all tourists do best and i took a picture matching the angle of the poster 🥹

juniebjones

KP

Kaia Dsouza

I need "I want to eat your pancreas" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big Dan

You need to watch I want to eat your pancreas. Dont even leave it to poll lol, because it ain't as popular as your name or silent voice and probably won't get voted.

Big Dan

Also watch Weathering With You and Suzume. Those 2 and Your Name is a thematic trilogy

Big Dan

No princess mononoke is insane lol

Smith

I feel like too many people (me include) are plugging this and I'm all for it😂

PdMeasles

Btw, the staircase at the end is a real place and a lot of couples propose to each other there.

N1yaa

okay this was great never seen ts but we should watch erased now

Sal Lian

I think its time to watch Your Lie in April 👀

Lily Hsu

Also Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind please!!!!

Jae Hoang

fine ill rewatch this while waiting for CSM. i dont think i can ever get bored of this movie. i dont even have to pay attention, the music is enough

Jae Hoang

yo verti take your wife to see it in theaters. it came out today for its 10th anniversary

Sovereign

Weathering with you next?

Z

I wonder if we could ever add a Studio Ghibli movie to the polls 👀 I feel like you would like Spirited Away, and Howl’s Moving Castle is my favee movie

Heidi

So Grave of the Fireflies next?

Zoro_uzumaki

Nga said lighthearted romance😭🥀🙏

Etool Thebeetle

You need to watch Takopi's Original Sin. It's one of my favorite's and is extremely underrated. It's only 6 episodes and tells a great story.

Karn

420 can’t wait to see you react to weathering with you, it’s in the same universe as your name (by the same director )

Kou

amazing film

Minh Long Nguyễn

I prefer Silent Voice over Your Name for the first watch but the more I rewatch them the more I love Your Name more. It's just so beautiful and the music is so good

Jay!!

Yes we need this, that’s exactly what I was thinking when I saw this

Jay!!

PLEASE WATCH “I want to eat your pancreas “

Adyan Apurbo

Your name being the best anime movie ever and AOT being the best anime are two undeniable absolutes of the world

Adyan Apurbo

Now recommended your lie in April to him.

hange

graveyard of the fireflies is a must

Sikei Butler

Thanks for the lore drop super interesting and you really miss that if youre not native
