Ron was street smart about the wizard world in the books but most of his good scenes from the books especially early on they gave to Hermione which idk they made Ron dumb asf in the movies

Lucas Miranda

this guy gonna go crazy with a certain scene in movie 8 lol

Artur Vegis

Not gonna lie, it was a little annoying about the poisoning thing related to slughorn, I thought it was obvious that if a girl was cursed to try to poison dumbledore, it wouldnt be out of the ordinary to understand that the person who gifted the bottle with poison to slughorn wanted him to regift it to dumbledore. Quite a long bark around that ngl.

Tacosareneat

Your intros are goated lol. "i'm not Voldemort, I'm actually a sirius black man"

im__JAM

Tom riddle was in hogwarts like 50 years ago, not at the same time as snape which was there during the same time harrys parents like 25 yrs ago. Also i think you connected the spell in the book (sectumsempra) to horcrux but they have no connection its just a curse snape made that makes slashes wounds on the target, not anything required to make horcrux (nothing from the half prince alchemy book is rlly connected to them). Aside from that W react bro cant wait for the next 2!!!

Sab

So happy this react came out!!! This movie does not get enough attention but I absolutely love this movie! All I gotta say is that you are smart homie, my first round with this movie I was so lost LMAOO

Here a bit of background information: 1. Fenrir Greyback Fenrir Greyback is one of the most dangerous death eaters (not on Bellatrix’ level, but still). At 30:35 you can see his wanted poster right before we actually see him with Draco, Narcissa etc. He’s a werewolf and is also the reason Remus Lupin is one too. Fenrir Greyback bit Remus Lupin when Remus was a young child as an act of revenge against Remus's father, Lyall Lupin. Lyall Lupin spoke harshly against Fenrir Greyback at a Ministry of Magic hearing when Greyback was questioned over an attack, calling werewolves soulless monsters who deserved death. 2. Draco Malfoy - at 2:57:35 you’re asking why Voldemort chose Draco to kill Dumbledore. Since no one knew he was a death eater yet, his chances of getting close to Dumbledore were higher than anyone’s. You could say that Voldemort could have simply told Snape to kill him, since him being a double agent allowed him to get close to Dumbledore aswell. There was another reason. Voldemort ordering Draco to kill Dumbledore was meant to be a punishment for his father’s failure to capture the prophecy at the Ministry of Magic in the last movie. Instead, he accidentally let the prophecy break while battling the order, got captured himself by the Ministry and sent to Azkaban. We can see a picture of him in the papers alongside the headline: “Azkabans latest resident” at 9:19. Voldemort didn’t actually expect Draco to manage to kill Dumbledore which makes it even crueler when Draco said that Voldemort would kill him if he doesn’t succeed. Narcissa Malfoy knew that this would be a nearly impossible task for Draco to accomplish and drove Snape into taking the unbreakable vow, out of love for her son. - at 58:13 you’re saying that you feel bad for Draco’s actor as he must be getting much hate over playing such a bitchy character. It’s actually the opposite hahaha. Draco Malfoy is very popular amongst the fan base, especially girls. There are countless fanfictions about Draco, for example dramione, drarry, drapple…yes some people even ship him with that fucking apple at the vanishing cabinet scene in the room of requirement (don’t ask me how I know that. I’ve been reading dramione fanfics when I was a teenager…for a friend of course). There is even a niche on TikTok, called DracoTok, where you can find tons of simp content and edits of Draco. I would dare say that Draco Malfoy is one of the most beloved characters on the internet in general. So no need to feel sorry for Tom Felton, his actor hahaha. 3. The acromantula Aragog The giant acromantula spider at 2:18:51 is the one Harry and Ron went to talk to about Hagrid in the second movie (Chamber of Secrets), remember? They were being chased by Aragog’s millions of children in the Forbidden Forest and saved by the flying car. That makes it so hilarious when Harry responds to Slughorn’s question at 2:20:36: “He (Aragog) had a family, I trust?”, with “Oh, yeah”. Harry and Ron nearly got eaten by that family. 4. Voldemort and Snape I think you mixed up the timeline a little bit at 2:56:47. Yes, Tom Riddle and Snape were both students of Slughorn, but not at the same time. Tom Riddle attended Hogwarts between 1938 and 1945 (during the time of the Second World War, I’m realizing that just now) and Snape attended Hogwarts between 1971 and 1978 at the same time as James, Lily, Sirius, Remus etc. They didn’t know each other at school, Snape later joined the death eaters and Voldemort after he finished Hogwarts in the First Wizarding War. 5. The Half Blood Prince - I think it’s sad that the movie didn’t really explain the mystery of the Half Blood Prince. We find out that it’s a pseudonym Snape gives himself, but we don’t get the meaning of it. His father, Tobias Snape, was a muggle and his mother was a pure blood witch by the maiden name “Eileen Prince”. That makes Snape a half blood member of the (until then) pure blood family “Prince”. Ergo the Half Blood Prince. - at 46:26 Slughorn says that only one student ever brewed a perfect living death potion. Since Harry was able to do so as well while using Snape’s improved potions book, it’s very likely that he, the Half Blood Prince, was the student, Slughorn was referring to. - you also got a little confused with that one scene of the potions book where we see Snapes written note “Sectumsempra - for enemies” alongside the textbook content. There is no connection between that school book part and Snapes notes. That shot was only there to show us the spell “Sectumsempra”, which Harry later uses on Draco. It’s quite impressive that Snape invented such a powerful and deadly spell when he was sixteen btw. 6. Tonks and Lupin I don’t know if you caught that, but Tonks and Lupin are a couple now, she calls him “sweetheart” at 1:38:40. In the books their relationship is described in more detail. Tonks and Lupin both fell for each other but Lupin didn’t want a relationship at first. He says she deserved someone better since he’s a) 13 years older than her and b) a werewolf. Especially because he’s a werewolf and he doesn’t want to burden her with that, he tries to distance himself from her by going on the most dangerous missions for the order. Tonks who’s usually so cheerful and loud becomes heavily depressed because of Lupins rejection at the start. Even her patronus changes from a jackrabbit to a wolf. It’s explained to the reader that a patronus can change its form if the wizard feels a very strong emotion towards something or someone.

thom

Fuck Snape!! IYKYK

Lea Schmidthäußler

I agree, he’s one of my favorite characters in the books, but just a dumb sidekick in the movies. I hope the HBO series will fix that.

Fiana A

Harry potter bloody finally!

Allyn

I thought you were Young Joc with that intro lolololol

Karol Niewiadomski

hahahahha lmao kinda true but every movie pales in comparison to the books and leaves out half the info, and the other half of important info is just subtle imagery you have to pick up on. no wonder verti is confused half the time

Sean Carroll

Yes each movie pales in comparison but half blood princes movie is an absolute crime compared to the masterpiece of a book it is. Instead of learning critical information about Voldemort and how to defeat him and his horcruxes, the movie decides to be a teenage romance instead In the movie dumbledore shows Harry 2 memories while in the book there are about 7 or 8 and all are important

keno baptiste

The mask threw me off 🤣🤣🤣 was cool at first then the mask just killed it

JitterBones

Finally got off work to check out the movie! video looks good, sound jumps from loud during action to very quiet during dialog. that's a problem with the movie imo, they can't balance the sound worth a damn. The volume you got it at is fine for me, any louder and my ears would blow

Sikei Butler

Watch oshi no ko aka my star

Ajin Kazama

was about to type most of this myself, glad someone else did.

TheGoobay

Vert @ 1:59:00 he meant he was going to give the potion to dumbledore as a gift, which someone clearly knew about somehow and decided to poison it in the hopes of getting dumbledore.

Rish

When Ron said You're barking, he basically means You're barking mad.

El Rojo

No, Slughorn already had the bottle ready to be gifted to Dumbledore. What Draco did was switch out the original for one with poison.

Reubs

Holy fuck verti, I'm ngl the way you manage to flip flop between having the greatest fucking media literacy in the universe to missing shit right in front of you is hilarious. W reaction. Can't wait for 7

DCViper

I wouldn’t say ruins it. But this is absolutely the best book.

DCViper

Mf Voldemort is Ryuk

Lucas Miranda

Because the screenwriters favorite character was Hermione, and they decided that giving her more highlights would be good.

StimliOG

Letsss goooooo! starting now!

uriel

2:09:20 lmaoooo that voice

uriel

verti I think you're a bit too harsh on draco, I really liked his character in this movie, you can tell he has alot on his mind

uriel

by no means is it a bad movie just because it doesn't follow the book as close as you'd like, a movie director isn't obligated to replicate the story 1:1, the movie is created in their vision

Terry Askren

Almost forgot you were watching this lol 😆

Toni岡田

Bro Verti I am sorry there were so many crazy misreads in this one 😆😆 Can't get over the whole Sectum Sempra escapade. Will be fun to rewatch tho so there's that.

K1N0SUKE

01:21:52 you cant just say things like that to catch me off guard everytime bro LMAOAOOAOAOA 01:23:33 LIKE THIS LMAO ugh 01:36:36 bro the brits gettin it today AHHAH

Sean Carroll

The movie overall is bad though because it leaves out so much critical information that is important for the final two movies. So much of the important Voldemort stuff is completely skipped

K1N0SUKE

i will forever love our boy draco, not the actor tho idc, but draco malfoy hehe

Lelou

Bro stop trying to come up with theories for HP😂😂😂😂 you connect dots that don't even exist😂 you not cooking you burning the food

CtrlAltDelicious

no way you called a mince pie a cookie you dick head lmao

Sean Carroll

Malfoys actor is beloved by the entire fanbase

Terry Askren

Prince was snapes mother's maiden name and he was a half blood hence the name.

Sean Carroll

Bro you are going completely in the wrong direction. Snape and Voldemort have no connection with the book. Snape came up with his own spell called sectumsempra which he wanted to use against his enemies such as James potter and Sirius at school when he was bullied. That writing in the book below the spell is actually part of the potions book but snape wrote his spell sectumsempra on that page randomly. No connection to anything in the book. The horcruxes are created when Voldemort uses the killing curse avada kedavra on people, sectumsempra is not connected in any way. Snape was at school with James potter etc and Voldemort was at school 50 years ago. Timeline wise snape is probably about 30 years younger then Voldemort.

Sean Carroll

Literally no one has ever guessed who RAB is straight away. Why do you act like Harry is dumb for not being able to figure it out with the billions of people on earth who could have figured it out

Safaricat

you didn't even need to lunge at the camera the mask reveal was aa jumpscare on it's own.

Safaricat

Vert i think where you got confused is how little of the book stuff they pput in the movie. The book is just his potions book that he borrowed (until he ordered a brand new copy). Whata he's' reading is the notes of the person who previously owned the book. So othe text in the book is the standard potions stuff for class anad the script in the book is the hald blood prince's scribbbles of potion corrections and his own opinion and spells. So when you reaad about Pancea you were just reaading about alchemy it had nothing to do with the Sectumsempra spell the only label on that was "for enemies. " When Harry used it he didn't even know what it did which is why he was so shook and felt so badly about it. during this year at hogwarts it was aa constant argument between Harry and Hermione about the book because she had been telling him not to jjust blindly follow instructions in a book that deviate from the lessons because he doesn't know whata the results could be and could end up harming himself and others which is basically what happened with Draco in the bathroom. Harry like Ginny did in the second film is obsessed with the Half Blood Prince speculating it could be his dad (even though his dad isn't muggleborn), considering the Prince one of his friends. This is why Ginny takes Harry to the room of requirement (same plaace they had the DA meetings and occasionally a bathroom when one needs one quickly) to hide the book becauase she has experience befriending books. They spend a good portion of the book trying to figure out who the half blood prince is. Hermione looks up famous wizards and those who were skkilled in potions at hogwarts. They really go down all the avenues but it takes them till the reveal to realize Eileen Prince (mentioned in a previous book) is Snape's mom who married a mugglel guy. i love this movie (this is actually my favorite of the books too) but it's very rushed. They don't even go into what makes Fenrir Greyback such a nasty scary werewolf. He wants werewolves to overtake the wizard community. He wants to bite and infect as many people as he can. He prefers to attack and bite young children (it's also kkind of implied specifically young girls). He is a gross gross icky thing that has a particular taste for human flesh and has abandoned his humanity and hates werewwolves like Lupin who take their potions and try to remain civil. He's all for embracing the beast and being savaage that's why he looks like that and can infect even on non full moon nights. I also want to make note that in the book the Ron/Hermione thing is way more two way in the book. The movie does an alright job at portraying it but it feels super one sided in this movie. Goblet of fire it seemed one sided as well but on Ron's part.

Lea Schmidthäußler

@riesenglied hab deinen Namen gesehen, als du geliked hast. Wilder Name hahahaha

Cherrie

That was such a great reaction! I really enjoyed watching this movie again with you. 🥰 I cannot wait for you to see the last two! I'm really glad you locked in on this one because you noticed so much. Just don't wait too long before watching the next two movies so everything stays fresh in your mind. ♥️ BTW, remember that Snape was the Potions Master. Seeing his old school textbook gives you a glimpse of why he excelled so much at Potions. But the things he was doing and writing in that book aren't connected to what Voldemort was doing with the Horcruxes. Also, the spell written in the book doesn't really have anything to do with his Potions notes. It was simply a spell Snape had created himself for his enemies. He just wrote it down in the book. Seems like he spent a lot of time with that book just like Harry. I read these books seven times back when they were first coming out. I remember waiting and waiting for this book to be released, and then I read it SO fast. I was absolutely devastated when I got to the part where Snape betrays and kills Dumbledore. What made it even worse was that the movies were still two or three books behind at that point, so most of my friends and family had absolutely no idea what had happened. Keeping that secret was so HARD!

Mati

Best movie

Dark D

You don't need sectumsempra to make a horcrux. You can kill a person with your bare hands, shoot them, use avada kedavra, whatever, and it will split your soul. Then, when your soul is split, you can make one.

Mati

I love Snape. One of the best characters in the franchise

Mati

It amazes me how you catch stuff like R.A.B, but missing something "simple". Great reaction. Excited for the next movie

Emil Jakobsen

How is it, that this man can follow Death Note step by step, but he has difficulty following Harry Potter. xD Also the reason Voldemort trusted Draco with attempting to kill Dumbledor is because he is punishing Lucius. Lucius failed to get him the prophecy last movie and therefore Voldemort gave Draco an impossible task, with the punishment of death should he fail this task.

Emil Jakobsen

BOOK SPOILERS BUT NOT MENTIONED IN THE MOVIES: We find out in this book that Voldemort's mother was the one with the Salazar Slytherin lineage. The Family called "Gaunt" was pretty inbred at this point to keep the bloodline pure (very Targaryen esc) and because of this the family had lost everything and was living in a ramshackle house in the same town as a certain Riddle family. The Gaunt daughter was obsessed with Tom Riddle - the son of Thomas and Mary Riddle - and she used a love potion on him to make him fall in love with her. While under the influence of this potion they conceived Voldemort and since he was conceived during a love potion, he was born without the ability to feel love whatsoever. Before she gave birth, she mistakenly thought that maybe if she stopped giving Tom Riddle Sr. the love potion he might love her anyway. Broski ran away back to his family and left her immediately. Voldemort's mother then left little Tom Riddle Jr. at the muggle orphanage and died shortly after, after naming him: Tom Riddle for his father, Marvolo for his mothers father. She died shortly after. When Voldemort was in his sixth year of Hogwarts he went to the town where the Riddle family lived and killed his father, grandmother and grandfather. We find out all of this during book 6 when Harry and Dumbledore go through all the memories that Dumbledore has managed to collect over the years about Voldemort., all in an effort to figure out ... something. Also the fact that his muggle father left his mother and afterwards was placed in a shitty muggle orphanage, is the reason why Voldemort hates muggles so much. He desperately clings to his Salazar Slytherin lineage and denies that he is in fact, a half-blood.

“Lavender, named after a scent” lmfaooo

Liam Mceleavey

Ayo your driving me up the wall bro when he said “you’re barking” it’s shortened down the full thing is “you are barking mad” coz your just throwing that bih round every 5 mins with yo lil adhd ass 🤣🤣

Liam Mceleavey

1:36:39 nonononono that is a mince pie very traditional Christmas snack

Devin Weaver

"im starting to think these death eaters are not nice people bro" had me fried ngl

Tyler Zimmer

worth eevery penny of my sub. great video

Jermonster

7 is a powerful number in the magic world which is why he wanted to rip into 7

Alicia

The move does make it extremely difficult for people who have not read the book because they change/leave out critical information, like harry just standing there when dumbledore is killed in the book dumbledore uses his only moments to freeze harry in place under his invisibility cloak to keep him hidden and safe while that whole interaction happens. Harry only gets movement back when dumbledore is killed and then he chases after snape exc. that’s just one example

Sammy Weverka

420! Also I've been commenting since Movie 2 that you were going to love this one specifically. Malfoy's comeuppance in the bathroom is one of my favorite scenes, just because it humbled that smug little bastard lol

El S

Verti I hope you know Dumbledores death was all your fault because you wore the voldy fit

Rez Iah

dang @58:50 he missed the numbers xd

Rez Iah

Voldemort to Verti: so weak. So clueless (on him missing the assassination attempts on Big D, the room of requirement, and a bunch of other stuff lol xD love the reactions mayne

Eric Robinson

you getting frustrated with Harry for asking silly questions while also asking silly questions is hilarious.

Moses

this doesnt make it any less ridiculously british haha

Rish

Ngl i thought everyone knew what barking mad was xD We brits have a shit ton of slang

Linus Svanberg

I'm sure you've alreay been told or figured it out. But the spell Sectumsempra has nothing to do with horcruxes

Ghadir Younes

Since you already watched Deathly Hallows part 1, when you correctly guessed that the B in RAB was Black, I was like this guy is a genius. Then you proceed to say Sirius has a brother and we saw him in the pub scene. You my guy are the king of arriving to right conclusions by following the most absurd mental routes 😭

Neye F

"He's feeding Voldemort apples" got me cryyying 😂

TyphlosionGang

Slughorn: murder, killing someone splits your soul. Verti: SO YOU USE SECTUMSEMPRA (which didn’t kill Malfoy) TO SPLIT YOUR SOUL, GOT IT 🤓
