Bro you genuinely need to watch jeen-yuhs 😭. Even if you’re not a huge Kanye fan, it’s actually so interesting seeing him before all the fame, watching him grind and try to make it, and then seeing everything that happens after. The footage is crazy because they were literally filming him years before he blew up. Trust me, just watch the first episode and you’ll get it.

As someone who's been a die hard Kanye fan since Graduation dropped, you HAVE to understand where Kanye was in his career at the time of this album release. Here's some context to put it in perspective: When JESUS IS KING dropped, a good portion of Kanye fans were disappointed. Ye claimed that he wasn't going to swear anymore, and fully embraced his relationship to God and would devote his life to him (which IS a good thing). However, fans found this to be disappointing not due to his religious beliefs, but due to the result of it being no more albums like YEEZUS or Life Of Pablo would ever be released from Ye again. ALSO, he chose to release JIK instead of YAHNDI which was a huge let down. 2 years later, Drake and Kanye got into beef. They had always been beefing, but it was elevated to an entire new level. This gave fans hope that maybe Ye would release a more aggressive sounding Album. It was a stream battle between Certified Lover Boy (Drake) and Donda. Fans liked Donda, but found it to be bloated, unfinished, and most importantly, CENSORED! 3 years of nothing but hardships then hit Kanye seemingly all at once. Kim filed for divorce. Fans were starting to claim Ye was "falling off". He was tweeting many questionable things and basically was just in his Villain arc. The Kanye community thought it was over. Then we have Vultures. Ye embraced that Villain arc, and decided it would essentially shape the theme for his newest project. And one song that stands out from the others is the track "BURN". The reason why it's the shortest track, yet arguably the best track, is completely intentional. It was to show the Kanye community that the old Ye was still there. He IS and always WILL BE capable of making tracks similar to his big hitters, but he's an artist, and a memorable artist will always strive for the newest masterpiece. Does this mean Vultures is anywhere near as good as his older projects? No. But I vividly remember listening to Life Of Pablo on release day and overall being disappointed. 10 years later and it's my favorite Kanye West production I've ever heard.

Kanye dropped bully unfinished on drop for 2 reasons. 1. In tlop the point of the album was that he would keep mastering it so it’s like a moving painting. This artistic choice was widely revived well. So ig he kept doing it for other albums. 2. He was pressured into dropping bully early because he kept delaying it.
