Uh Z, I don't like Lily using "was" on Gloria.

Myhairhasamindofitsown

I like Leo's forlone look, he probably empathises a lot with Lily right now.

DragonWithaBeard

I was afraid it was something like that. Poor Lily!

Master88

If this hints that Gloria has passed on then that is one tragic twist.

Zexus 4

Oh no she dead!

Was!? What do you mean, was!? Yes Alexander, go ahead and try to distract us by telling us a little more about Luna, or you can instead spend that time EXPLAINING WHAT THE F*CK HAPPENED TO GOAT MOM! What in the world happened to her, and where were you when it did!? There are three possibilities I can think of for why Lily would use that word to describe Gloria and her current being, none of them good. She could be either missing/kidnapped, in a coma or the absolute worst case scenario, dead. Considering the last we saw of Gloria was literally at the tail end of Book Zero, let’s all hope what happened to Gloria is one of the former two, since both present the possibility of her still being alive. (Especially since they will be a lot of people pissed at you and your husband if it’s the worst case scenario. But I guess you’re already prepared for that sh*tstorm, aren’t you?) As much as I hate to admit it, I think we also have a good idea for why Lily is so angry with Alex at this point. Also, as shocking as that bombshell was to the team, Leo on the other hand looks less so that and more so just somber at that revelation, almost as if he had a feeling that would be the reason Lily would be angry with her father. He should know what it’s like firsthand after all. He too lost his mother when he was just a child and, as we’ve seen in Book Zero, blamed his father for being “too weak” to save her and thus swore to become stronger than him in every way, becoming a Guardian and training every day to eventually get vengeance on her mother’s killers. Now knowing what Lily’s going through, the two officially have something in common. Maybe through his interactions with her, he’ll start to see a little of himself in her, and perhaps be reminded that are more important things in life than revenge or getting stronger. I would hope in the (I assume) 10 or so years since Book Zero Leo would’ve cooled off on his stance toward his father and try to put himself in his shoes in what was a more than likely impossible situation that couldn’t be helped back then, and maybe after realizing that could try to help Lily do the same with Alex’s perspective on whatever happened to Gloria, preferably before she ruins her relationship with her father forever or before Rah’Jan sees what’s going on between them and takes the opportunity to strike while the iron is hot. Either way, as I mentioned before, Alex has a lot of explaining to do in terms of what happened between him and Gloria, when the time is right.

And with a few words my heart is burden with sorrow now 😢

QQQQT2

C'mon Leo I believe we can make lily smile, the implications cannot be allowed to win man

Michael Spoto

Now I'm wondering what happened.

VasirrKhajiit

Leo knows how she feels. That face says it all….

SteelGamer20

By the way, love how you made Nigel's reaction as he was eating; still no pupils and some how I can STILL tell what his face is saying!

Abbie Hunt

In the last panel, Leo is remembering a certain conversation with his father, isn't he? Great writing and magnificent art. Thank you.

The14th

My concern for where Gloria is has only been increasing, and now it's skyrocketing.

SteelGamer20

OH MY GOD, why didn’t I make this connection sooner?! The relationship between Alex and Lily is almost (keyword ALMOST) exactly like the character relationship between Zenkichi and Akane from Persona 5 Scramble! Strained and mistrust based relationship and EVERYTHING!!!

clancey

Oh no, she used past tense, gloria is dead

IvyReed

I don't want to hear propaganda about Luna "The Tree of Life, and maker of all things" Dad! I want to hear about a mom. Not that it'd be propaganda per say, but he comes across as the sort of parent who hides all of the wrinkles and troubles real life has to "protect her".
