Wow, amazing! Every single one of Ivy’s rebukes to Cornelia’s voice of reason are absolutely worthless. Try to act surprised, folks. 😒 Seriously, Ivy is just beating a dead horse at this point and it is all the more painfully clear that she is one the losing side of the argument here. I must also say, the fact she has the gall to compare the idea of Zaphira making love with a former slave like Shen to committing literal beastiality with livestock and calling the former worse somehow is just gross and abhorrently stupid beyond all imagination. Man of madness also brings up a good point here. If Ivy truly finds Zaphira to be a complete joke than a proper ruler, then instead of making herself look like a complete tool ridiculing her and her fiancé, she should be helping her to be a better ruler, giving her advice on the trade, maybe even directly aid her on her duties, you know, like a PROPER sister would do. Speaking of which, Cornelia once again proving herself as best sister by calling Ivy out on her bullsh*t and making it clear that she is in the wrong with her behavior here. No doubt whatever adventures and struggles she went through before this point has helped her to put more focus on the merits of people in the present rather than what they were in the past, something Ivy really should be learning to do at this point. It really does feel like the only way Ivy’s ever going to change her mind is if Shen could somehow manage to have a word with her himself, maybe try to explain the events that lead him to be a slave in the first place, but even managing to get close to her may prove to be an uphill battle. (Or, you know, maybe, just maybe, Violet’s not entirely wrong on Ivy just simply needing a good rutting to calm down and see reason, you never know.) To wrap this up with a side note, I’m once again reminded of the reason for why Amber is my second least favorite member of the Zodiac Sisters. I mean, you take one look at Cornelia and Ivy arguing with each other and all you can think of is, “Oh, another family argument. How boring.”, really? Seriously, what even gets this girl’s actual attention or even excites her. You’d think she’d be more concerned here, but apparently not.

Cornelia is by far my favorite of the sisters, man. I’m really glad *someone* is trying to talk sense into Ivy, but as we can see, it’s just… pointless. Still think she needs a good slap to the mouth. 🙄

Two things. First, I can definitely see how Cornelia can be the intimidating one. That first and third panel, wooo boy, don't not mess with green snek. Second is, well, I watched too much Monty Python growing up, because my immediate thought upon reading "She's your queen" was: "Well Ivy didn't vote for her."

It has been implied that the sisters are all more or less the same age, but was Ivy the first born/hatched who spent her childhood working hard and studying to be a good ruler until the Lemur Priest announced that Zaphira's mark made her the one?
