It's already sad that Ivy's willingly chooses to distance herself from everyone. Even her sisters. When she says "I'm happy like this" that's definitely some sort of defense mechanism to herself to truly convince her that it's true :(

You know it's bad if the sister who's entire personality is being a downer still believe in love while Ivy doesn't. Also if Ivy is aroace, I still hope she could at least find a good partner to at least spend time with and be vulnerable even without any no pants fun. Everyone needs a someone and nobody wants no one.

Sheesh. I don't like this Ivy at all compared to another Ivy I know. I don't mean to sound... well... mean, but I feel we're wasting time with this cold stone. But I could be wrong.

Well that’s a poor outlook on love for someone to have. I’m willing to bet that Ivy is lying in saying that she’s never been attracted to anyone. I think it’s more likely that she has been attracted to some people a few times but none of them were interested in her enough to enter into a relationship with her or she has been in a relationship with someone that must’ve ended terribly, leading to her cold-hearted demeanor towards most people, including her own family. There’s still no excuse for her actions or behavior here, but it really is seeming like Ivy is choosing to be cold-hearted because she doesn’t want to get burned like she probably did in the past. But in actuality, all she’s doing is putting herself at risk at losing her relationship with her family who she should be trusting to not hurt her in any way because of how much they love her. And Ivy can’t also be truthful in saying that she’s happy to be alone her whole life, especially considering how we saw how she stormed out of the royal bath in a fit and tears before. If she truly believed that love was a fool’s illusion, then why did she even bother to attend Zaphira’s wedding in the first place? If she really believed that, she wouldn’t even be here, I don’t think. So surely she must harbor some love for her family at least. Also, by acting as she is, sure Ivy may ensure that most people who would hurt her won’t even think about so much as approaching her, but she’ll also ensure that those who would otherwise offer her kindness, care and compassion will just be pushed away for no reason except for lack of trust. People who could’ve changed her mind about love but were denied the chance to do so. What Ivy is doing with her behavior isn’t maturity or wisdom. It’s refusing to accept that life can be cruel sometimes nor learning to be better than life during those times nor acknowledging that not all people are cruel, stupid or selfish as she believes. It is also ensuring that the rest of her existence in this life will be nothing more than a pathetic and sad experience with nothing nor anyone to show for it except a false sense of pride and an over-inflated ego that will get her nowhere except her own personal hell, becoming arguably a worse individual than the majority of people she finds so dumb and pathetic to not want to bother with, and walking down her path in this life alone, not even with her own family to support her when she would need them the most. It’s frankly telling when even Neptun, someone who most of the time can only see the negative side of most things in life and people and suffers for it, can see the problem with Ivy’s way of life and treating people, and when even Amber finding most things in life to be boring or tiresome doesn’t seem that bad compared to Ivy’s cold-hearted way of living. And despite not being in a dedicated relationship with someone most likely, Violet’s life where sex and excitement is overly common sure seems like a more fulfilling way of life than what Ivy is doing, that’s for sure.
